Had the chance to talk to her last week (and see her live!) and it's nice that she's also an incredibly kind human being. Her viola is a beautiful instrument and the way she recently started using it to get these weird basslines by passing it through an octaver is very clever and effescient on stage.
Anyway, Colleen is one of my fav composer of the last two decades, I've learned something from all of her records, I don't know where I'd be musically and intellectually without her work, and it makes me very happy to see her appreciated on lines! (I wanted to post some tracks from The Weighing of the Heart about a hundred times in the "what are you listening" thread but never got around actually doing so... I'm just happy someone else did it before me!)
