Saw/heard this today.
Pretty extraordinary. There were some particularly fascinating harmonies and timbres being generated with the trio of counter-tenors in combination with the chorus and orchestra; it's a really strong piece of music. Maybe my favorite of Adams after today (of the ones I'm familiar with). The text and settings offer some pretty weighty, reflective material; terribly apt in these terrible days, and the apocrypha were refreshing takes on the story of Jesus, if you're in to that kind of thing.
John Adams and Peter Sellars came out on stage afterwards; it was a 70th birthday celebration for Adams. That was pretty neat having them both appear.
