Nope. There is an external input that can be mapped to tuning for all of the voices, but it does not map 1V/o. So you could could send fixed voltages to it with a tuner hooked up to create offsets to your liking.

Could be a nice crow project: You could build a custom quantizer by remapping voltages. You could also us a CV in to step through a map of offsets. Or trigger to step through offset sequences. Lots of possiblities once you work out what you wanted to do.

How’s the build quality on the XOH? I was tempted by the Rosie for a long time, but reading some negative reviews about the build quality always made me want to hold off for just a “nice-to-have” module.

My gripe with it is the same one I have with all of these modules. That is, the pots don’t feel super solid. I assume that’s due to plastic shafts on these and metal ones used by other manufacturers? I’ve never confirmed that though.

The layout feels a little cramped. Maybe they could have helped that by staggering the knobs more but it doesn’t really bother me considering I’m not moving them too much in practice.

And balanced 1/4” outputs would be nice.

All trade offs I was willing to make for a stereo mixer in such a small package. It’s pretty much perfect for this setup and allowed me to fit in the mult too (if comparing to Rosie).

My 104 isolation rig 🤸🌿 set up for looping/manipulating field recordings, waiting on a nearness panning mixer to fill the 3hp gap. The last 6hp is gonna be filled with an SPO or a quad attenuator + a Crow at some point soon!

I put this together out of spare modules in the modules drawer and a Moffenzeef Swarm.

It contains a vast number of timbres and produces noises and squelches not dissimilar from a Benjolin (may that circuit be blessed). By sequencing the rack with square wave clock wreckers (Yep & Swarm), one ensures unpredictability beyond the usual sample and hold. Arpitecht provides musicality to the entire operation so events-in-time never stray too far out of the ozone or atmosphere. The digital / analog admixture of the Piston Honda (fed into a Meng Qi DPLPG) & Erica Bassline (which module I believe is underrated) provide a hot-bed or green-house for unusual sonics to copulate and grow. I command the Tea Kick to produce bass lines or square waves. I employ the Equation Composer’s many applications as needed, especially the hit-per-gate drum machine app. The Richter Wogglebug sends out its traditional chaotic vibrations in tentacles which wrap around the entire system, punctuated by slips and steps from the Clep Diaz. We must mention the Quad Attenuator without which the chaos manufactured by myself could get out of control and leave planet Earth. We must mention the excellent Doepfer mixer which has been with me since the beginning.

After a few false starts, I think this will do nicely. Much browsing of this thread has been incorporated in its planning. The final piece was Earthsea showing up on Ansible giving me a six-voice poly.

In part, this is a recreation of some aspects of the Lyra 8, which my hands are too dry to properly play. While it is not an exact replica it does reach a lot of the same places I liked going with the Lyra. I find the spacing on the Lyra8fx greatly improved by swapping in sifam-knobs, beyond just having a consistent tactile response across the instrument.

Thanks to the 4ms wave recorder, I don’t need to go near a computer. I run BIM (sometimes) and BAM (more often) from Veils and back into the recorder for some added space/ambience. Add an eKalimba, and that picture could go in the tiny studio thread.

Definitely think this is a great size, especially with the 1u for utilities. Could get a 1u O_C, noise tools, and quadratt with some room for a VCA or two depending what one does in terms of outs

Agree. I was going to get one contingent on a lid, but kind of bummed they’re just coming out with a plastic one in the spring. I don’t see why not go for the metal cover like the 7u cases.

Fair. This is pretty close to something approaching the isms functionality/hp considering ansible can cover for the original trio, and if you pick the right 1u modules. And they’re making a carrying case too. Great option no doubt.

That these clearly splendid cases are just a couple of millimetres too shallow for me mungoes would be quite vexing were it not such a relief to be able to nip this gas non-negotiably in the bud. I guess I’m sticking with my legacy 104 HP 4U.
