That’s great thank you. I think I’ll have to wait for a while until they’re available this side of the Atlantic - I’ve already got one module floating in US -> UK limbo!
Credit card adapter it is…

I’m really glad they’re at perfect circuit now. They used to be reverb/direct only and shipping cost the same as a single adapter.

Along those lines, I need to get a new iLok for my software licenses.

The shipping cost from the manufacturer is close to the cost of the thing itself. Or I can get it on Amazon and the shipping is FREE!!!

Crazy…

This is a rack I envision to work with my 0-Coast and sometimes my Moog Werksatt. Interested in any thoughts…

Got some black knobs for the EXOS for the full on gothic look

Only thing I can see is that the attenumixer seems a bit redundant with the Maths and 1U mixer in the rack.

Except that those maths channels can be removed from the mix if using their outs for other things. I’m frequently looking for more mixing/attenuation even in small cases…

Please tell me how you find the Happy Nerding Filter. I discovered it the other day and there doesn’t seem to be a lot written about it. I love the idea of attenuators on concentric knobs!

Yeah really like it, I think 12db/o low pass isn’t really to my taste but for me it’s a nice curve for hi- and band-pass but of course you have the other low pass out with a steeper curve. At the time of release I don’t think there was another filter that gave you voltage control of overdrive which is really nice and adds in nicely to the VCA/LPG type applications. I find the attenuverters very intuitive and the whole thing feels very robust, no movement in the pots or anything - should last for years of filter facing with it!

Sweet. I went looking for something smaller than my ripples that had similar features and maybe a bit more character. No VCA here, but I have that covered elsewhere and the drive is a great bonus. Filter overdrive is one of my favorite things.

Thanks!

My biggest advice is to not fill it right away. It’s hard to anticipate every one of your needs until you start patching things together and go “hmm what I wish I had was…”.

Personally, I know some will disagree philosophically but adding a filter to my 0-Coast made an immense difference. I chose Ripples for my 0-Coast Pod sidecar because the VCA and simple 2-input mixer are handy. It sounds really nice with the Contour too - I ended up buying the Euro version that just stays patched into Ripples (multed to VCA & FM).

I just had a play with it and it’s better than I have it credit for tbh - the drive is really meaty, it’s very hard to push it into shrill sort of areas - the overall tone is very nice.

I love the Zizou. I’ve been resisting it for sooo long.

It’s my favourite eurorack case by far. You can achieve a lot in 54hp, and the 1u rows are perfect for utilities and mixers. Triple 1u nlc sloths are all the modulation I’ll ever need. The case is rock solid too. When it was shipped the box arrived soaking wet. Apparently the shipping depot had flooded. Case still works perfectly. I’ve carried it out in snow storms rain etc.

i just got my pelican protector 1150 and 42 hp rails. they kind of sit loosely when i extend them across the interior of the case. any tips on mounting them?

-liv

my rails were just slightly more than 42hp, ive cutted them from one 104 hp rail. what you can do is use a longer screw (if you gonna drill holes on the sides) and add some spacer /washers (maybe plastic ones) in between rail and case.

you can add 3mm or 4mm aluminium plate for extra stability for both ends of the rails. People sometimes do that.

thanks for the washer suggestion. i don’t want to drill holes in the case. not for any practical reason, i just want to preserve the “integrity” of my pelican case. i’m so excited to final have one after lusting after them my whole life.

my rails just arrived today! i think i’ll follow someone else’s suggestion of adding metal plates to one or both ends. and maybe jb weld everything in place
