The sonic palette of the soft pop as an external filter/processor is incredible. Highly underrated piece of kit

Am I wrong that Warps can do much, but it’s not an oscillator?

Would love to hear this little rig, if you have any recordings

It is! Its goal is to Warp two oscillator signals that you provide into its two inputs, but it also has an internal oscillator, so you can get a ton out of it with just one external oscillator. It can be a sine, saw, triangle, pulse, or noise oscillator. That internal oscillator can be crossfolded, ring mod-ed, etc. with your external input.

If it’s in oscillator mode, Input 1 becomes the V/Octave input.

Great. I always thought its one of the two MI modules I won’t need (Ring is the 2nd).

This sounds great! Definitely pulling a lot out of such a small system.

I love that you are using TSNM. I built one of these, it’s a favorite of mine. It’s got a big footprint but also provides a lot of functionality for a small case.

So many of you have Pamela’s New Workout in your small rigs. Why?

Downsizing my live rig for practicality. The case will be 2 42HP Frap Tools boats powered by Endorphin.es Shuttle Control.

Sequencing will be done from a Digitone going into Shuttle Control sending note, gate and cc messages while I get my drums from the Analog Rytm.

If all goes well, this should all fit in my Pelican case and save a ton of extra baggage.

It’s an excellent and versatile trigger sequencer for the small amount of hp. 8chs of triggers/gates which can be divided, multiplied, randomized, or euclidean-ized. The display is nice and quick to make changes, I like a clock generator that has a bpm counter not just knob. Plus it can generate cv/envelopes from the cv out. Not a lot of modules that compare in the same footprint

I love it. It’s a relatively easy smd build too. I don’t use a lot of key controllers but the TSNM is so intuitive. I really like the pressure control it brings life through gesture to performance

It doesn’t have the pressure, but I recently got a pair of XIIO’s and I love them - I also built a TSNM. One doesn’t replace the other, but the XIIO’s simpler configuration makes it more dynamic. The lack of a proper sequencer mode is my only complaint.

Risc, what do you use this lunchbox for? Is it your general purpose mini system or a specialised one?

I don’t have it, just sketching ideas. Want to use it as an additional, portable voice for when I want to walk to modular synth meets and drink beer

I was really tempted to build an XIIO but I already have a TSNM and a Pressure Points so it was hard to justify beyond the fact that I just wanted one.

It sits: XIIO – TSNM – Pressure Points. Given XIIO has no pressure but is easily dialed in and quantized, TSNM is kind of inbetween the two. In anycase, I’d say keep it in mind. I’ve been having a lot of fun with mine.

XIIO is totally interesting to me. If I didn’t have the other two I would definitely be building it. I might still!

So much functionality and versatility in a small package. As Long as you don’t mind some menu diving…which as far as menu diving goes is not bad, and moves smoothly.
