42/54 hp Lunchbox Inspiration

I’ve made a couple 6U 52hp cases and they are a really fun size! Most recent build is 3U 52hp, which will be a fun exercise when I don’t have impending gigs and can raid my 9U case for my uZeus and three or so modules.

I saw a Mylar Melodies video yesterday wherein he replaced his Rainmaker with a Mimeophone. It can be done but as always it is up to you.

my first euro setup… 42hp, with one diy looper (isd1820). mostly for mangling with the outside world (piano, walkmans, 0-coast, iPad…)

Mylar is also explicitly a techno boi. Rainmaker can’t do everything Mimeophon can, and that goes both ways. Rainmaker lets you design your own delays or create random ones. Mimeophon does a smear of delays that Mr. Erbe has tweaked with a fixed filtering scheme and some reverb. Neither is better, but there are definitely reasons to pick one over the other. Mylar also had Rainmaker in his gig case, which was a huge hp ask, Mimeophon gave him a decent replacement for both Rainmaker and Erbe Verb, thereby giving him space to do other things. Different results, but good for his goals.

There’s a lot of interesting experimentation in this concept. Would be housed in two FrapTools case segments, DIY power plug, probably an Intellijel TPS-30.

I don’t think so? The ramp knob was pretty stiff on my unit, even so an accidental bump is probably not a big deal. At lest at the edge of the case your hand is pretty clear for the “joystick”.

I’ve been wanting to expand my box with another 104 skiff attached to my 4u intellijel 104 case. Ansible, mimeophone, cold mac, and a TXi and TXo are on my list

Recently, my mind does not rest when thinking about 42 hp lunchbox set-ups. Instead, it theorizes the following:

This fulfills my criteria for a groove-box. This fulfills my criteria. I have come up with hundreds of variations but believe this build to be solid. I have the case and the 1u modules. The rest of the modules cost something like 1200 American dollars. That amount of money seems quite a stretch for a groove-box, yet my mind remains restless.
