Aaah, that is amazing! Thank you!

I still need to learn more about the SWT16+. It creates CV modulation? If so, I can see why you say that. If not, that’s why I’m adding the Varigate 4+ for wacky CV to pump into the BIA.

Portable noise/chaos machine, have been really surprised with the variation that comes out of this setup. Going to switch the doepfer clock divider for an RCD so I can get even more variation out of the 4mix for CV (15 possible cv values depending on logical AND).

No, and I would just go with the Varigate. It’s more than enough for the BIA. SWT16+ is supremetely overkill for a single module or even a small number. It does a few things very well, but is really a module for a big system that needs a lot of triggers. The Regular SWT16 seems like a better fit for many systems, but again, Varigate makes more sense. Alternatively go with a Regular SWT16 if you really want that x0x+ style and get a diffferent CV sequencer.

The upside down Pulp logic modules are a great idea, I don’t really like the inverted knobs when you have them the right way round…

This is my lunchbox! I’ve had it for about 6 years and it’s gone through many incarnations, but I’ve always tried to stay within these dimensional confines. The Mr Grassi used to be a hordjik twin peaks, but I switched it out about a year ago and never looked back. The w/ on one edge and the Mr Grassi on the other offers wonderfully ergonomic tactile playing. Right now all I really want to modify is the 1u. I wish more manufacturers offered PL format, but I might build a few NLC tiles and get a better VCA.

Super cool!! Are you using grassi as noise source and touch control?

Yup, it’s surprisingly flexible. It sounds really great modulating a sine oscillator: press and it’s a wild but round/fluid mess, release and it lands on a random pitch. But it’s also useful for scrambling the URA’s clock FM and it sounds great modulating a filter. Another fun patch is hooking up one grassi out to the sisters fm, and another to one of the sisters filter inputs. Or send use cold Mac to pan the Grassi out into 2 different sister ins! Then the Grassi is both audio and modulation. Having 6 separate outs makes it like a second “macro” controller.

here is the newest configuration of my pod 48x! it have been really into it so far (w/ was the last puzzle piece, received it 2 days ago)!

Is 60HP allowed in this thread? (actually this is the 64X pod, but I intend on switching to the 60 very soon for the shorter Z)

Been playing with this setup, and having fun plugging a guitar/microphone into the 4MS IO in and processing it through the DLD while playing field recordings/drums from the 2 radio musics. The goal is to have a fairly flexible audio processing/sampling self contained box I can easily slip in a backpack when traveling.

Having the Planar for control is sweet, but I think I do need more flexible modulation than what it + the Sloths can provide, and perhaps a filter to process the radio music a bit more would be nice. Maybe a module that’d give the rack more stereo mixing/panning capabilities (with the Planar that could be really fun). I think I want to stick with the left side of the rack as it is, the right side I’m still experimenting with. Ideas appreciated

Can you post some audio from this system? A good friend who’s been thinking about getting into eurorack is interested in hearing this, as am I…

Thanks!

Built most of these! @forestcaver thanks for sharing your work!

Really happy where this has ended up

This looks like such an awesome system! Do you have any sounds you’ve recorded from it to share?

I taped the keyboard into the lid and mounted everything upside down so you just open the lid and start hacking sounds! It’s practically a cyberdeck as well with all the computers in this thing!

Here’s my little skiff. It’s a custom 58 HP skiff I made myself; I sized it to take advantage of the last bit of space in a Pelican case that holds the rest of my gear for live gigs. When traveling with it (maybe someday?) it will be patched with Tendrils right-angle cables (height in the Pelican case is at a premium). For casual patching on the couch, I’m using mostly Control cables, as shown in the photo.

Adding the ALM mmMidi made this super useful in my hybrid Ableton Live / hardware / modular setup; it allows me to sync Pam’s easily, as well as adding channels of MIDI gate, CV, and velocity into the modular to easily use it as an instrument inside Live.

I would love to replace the ISD Sampler with a more full-featured sampler (like Squid Salmple or Squarp Rample) but cost & size are limiting me a bit right now. Having the Disting MK4 in there is super useful for effects and Swiss army knife flexibility.

I also made a little lasercut stand for it; works beautifully as a display stand for when I am in endless Zoom meetings and can only gaze at it instead of getting to play with it.
