I have a friend in town who did some super intense video programming (for the time) for a band I was in, but he performed solo as Digital Pile using M and a Sequential Circuits keyboard (can’t remember which) basically as a MIDI controller to manipulate Can samples on his Yamaha A3000. This was 98-99. It was SICK.

Amazing. I still kind of miss my old A3000, that was a really fun sampler.

I started really early, being fortunate to have access to a Synclavier, and various Roland hardware MC units. Went through phases with Opcode, Sound Designer, Sound Tools, Pro Tools…
M on an Amiga was my favorite from back in those days.
