I’m starting to make travel plans.

I think we could clearly round out a lovely evening of “music by the llllllll community”. We did a similar meetup in Montreal this summer and it was a great time for all. I don’t know the locales and venues in proximity to Loop to know if there is some place suitable… but if someone here does - I’m willing to otherwise do the organization of such an event.

Thoughts?

Appreciate the initiative! I’m flying in early Friday and leaving on Sunday so it will be an intense schedule with the regular Loop-events :wink: - so I don’t know if I will manage to to squeeze in an extra event. Looking forward to saying hello though!

Not exact like-for-likes but in a similar ballpark:

Synthfest (part of Sensoria) in Sheffield.

Subliminal Impulse is back for its second year in Manchester this July.

Also Brighton Modular and Machina Bristronica.

I’m sure there are loads more that I’m missing!

I couldn’t really get hold of what Subliminal Impulse is from the website. Is it a multi-location thing or a single location affair (like Synthfest but across multiple days)?

It’s a shame, but the right descision. A few of my friends have been working on the production of the show. It’s been pretty devistating. I have my flights to Berlin still, although I can’t see how Superbooth doesn’t cancel either.

Are people cancelling flights? The conference I was flying to Spain to just got cancelled and I’m kind of at a loss as to what I’m going to do re cancel or fly anyway.

I had very cheap flights (London to Berlin), so I didn’t bother getting any insurance. So I’m just going to sit on the ticket and see if there’s some government intervention cancelling flights. Even changing my flights to a later date would have doubled how much i paid for my original flights.

I was also going to stay with friends.

I really feel for people who would have been flying in from the States / Australia / Far East which i know a lot of people do for Loop.

I have flight tickets that I can’t cancel. I won’t get a refund. But using them and going to Berlin doesn’t seem like a responsible thing to do. Not for my own safety, but for the risk of spreading something to people more at risk. I have old parents, and my mom’s lungs aren’t what they should be…

The best I can hope for is that the flights cancelled by the airline and that that entitles me to some compensation. But it might all be force majeure.
