How about a patch that requires:
- Any trigger or normal sequencer
- Sampler to receive triggers
- Means of syncing Trigger Sequencer with your main system (clock/midi/same sequencer as you use normally but different channel etc).
Pre-record instructions to yourself into the sampler (item 2 above) and use the sequencer (item 1 above) to send you the reminders. Sync up the drum trigger sequencer to whatever other thing you’re doing/using and there you go. I guess route the pre-recorded reminder samples into your headphones and not the FoH (unless you want to go full transparent haha!).
For example, a Beatstep Pro could be synced to your computer/modular/itself and one of the three channels could be used to drive a Bastl Microgranny (6x6 potential resampled instructions using CC, or just six without CC).
Also, sheet music if you read it. Fourscore as mentioned above is great, if you make a useful part for yourself you might be able to turn pages as you go and not have to worry about syncing it up. Or even good old fashioned paper part. Remember lighting to read it by if you perform in a dark space.
Another thought: if the parts are pre-written and thus the entire piece is a predictable length then you can record instructions to yourself in real time, maybe with a metronome click, and listen back to that. In many instrument+electronic pieces of music or “and tape” pieces there is a listen-along track which performs this function. It assumes everyone stays on click though.
