Afternoon : a four-hour ambient album in support of The Bail Project

Hello lines friends! I’m pre-releasing a section of my upcoming 24-hour ambient album, titled “sound habitat”; this is the afternoon section, titled, well, “afternoon.”

I’m donating all proceeds to The Bail Project; here’s a description in their own words:

"On any given night in America, there are nearly half a million people sitting in jail before trial simply because they can’t afford bail.

The Bail Project™ National Revolving Bail Fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who are legally presumed innocent, and whom a judge has deemed eligible for release before trial contingent on paying bail. We enable our clients to return home to their families and communities while awaiting their court dates."

It’s been quite a process — I recorded it for the most part in four-hour long takes, and then spliced them together. It was an incredibly satisfying challenge to make that much music but in the end the biggest issue was file size and distribution… I’ve applied for grant funding to make a streaming site for it, so stay tuned, I guess! And thanks for the interest
