So be it! I’ll do it my way (nothing to be afraid of, really), and let’s see how things go. As to the format, basically each track has its own (from 16 bit to 32 bit-float, from 44.1 kHz to 48 kHz and from mono to stereo with all possible permutations) so I have decided to make a 24 bit/48 kHz version of the final master which can be reduced to whatever you like afterwards (just had to pick something, and it makes sense as a starting point for downwards conversions). Still, if some of you want to send me compatible versions directly out of the mix, you are welcome to do so. Otherwise it’ll be done properly, no worries. I can also make diverse exports in classic formats, just request what you want if you have particular needs.

Just going to plug Kunaki.com. @mzero has a python script that will convert a Triumph DDP file into a Kunaki ISO. I’ve found this approach marries flexibility and convenience. Kunaki will drop ship nearly everywhere in the world a nicely printed jewel case for $6 USD. The last four LCRPs were done this way and it’s easy peasy. Everyone seems happy with the setup.

Update #2: I’ve redone it one more time. This one is juuuuust right! First: It has all the proper track markers so that the gaps between tracks (where you want them) count as lead-in to the second track, and doesn’t count as time for either track. I realize this is an incredibly nit-picky detail, but I’m glad to have it right. Note: You cannot get these markers using any of the standard ways Kunaki gives you to upload your CD. How’d I do it? Glad you asked… Second: I have a Python script that…

Interesting. I can do a DDP if need be, no worries at all. I am using Wavelab Pro 9.5 for that, which is as precise and reliable as can be. But is it something we want?

Kunaki provides several other options for uploading audio as well. This one just seemed to fit our workflow and provide the greatest creative freedom for us.
