sooo i’ve just seen the avmoves (fka nerftoss) set on twitch and recognized the DK…he later confirmed that their was a mosstone involved as well

it seemed like he was processing audio with em

is that a thing or am i hallucinating? if they do synthesis and audio warping that would be far more appealing to me

Got a link? You are asking, if I am correct, whether either of those units process external audio? I can’t really think of a way that they would… I guess you could run audio into the FM input? What makes you think they were processing audio though?

Found the twitch, will check it out…

not sure why

i haven’t heard much lorre mill music but assumed they were synth only

in hindsight audio from the kalimba was probably being processed by computer and mixed with mosstone and doubleknot sounds

Just received my DK and will need to get an Australian dc transformer. The manual says 12v with at least 500ma. The one provided is 1A. Do you think a 1.5A would be too much? The guy at the local store thinks not. Have emailed Will too

1,5A means maximum current that the power converter can provide. It supports devices consuming less so it should be fine.

Thank you. Yes I just read up on this. Thanks for confirming

I have the same issue with my mosstone. I haven’t noticed any pattern of behavior that would suggest it has anything to do with timing of triggers (or anything else for that matter). Do you have one of the 2nd version mosstones? Easy way to check is the later revision doesn’t have a big S by the sustain toggle. I vaguely remember reading someone talk about this possibly being consistent behavior for all 2nd version units, I might try to dig that up again.
Not a deal breaker for me at all but it is an annoyance, and it rules out being able to toggle the sustain mode strictly in rhythm as a performance possibility.

I get this behavior sometimes and mine is a V1. Dang. I hadn’t thought about how cool it’d be to use the button like that!

Mine seems to be one of the 2nd version. And yes, it’s not really a huge deal but still a bit sad, I’d also love to use the button in a reliable way as an additional performance element…

Probably - it works and sounds great - but its ungodly quiet lol.
I’ve been a bit lazy lately so I havent taken it apart to see why its so damn quiet.
I breadboarded a 072 based x10 booster and brought it up to proper levels but It SHOULDNT require that dammit. lol

I think I have the parts to breadboard and explore atm but I too am affected by the lazy. Is the low level some property of the original circuit or your version?

@yobink i used your suggested name for this one. :stuck_out_tongue:
also…it has noiz warping support from three norns each running @dan_derks Cheat Codes 2.

The original PMF PDF has this sentence in it:

This filter design is known for wide variance in volume with changes in resonance, to achive the phase mix trick the output volume is partially controlled by the resonance

I was wondering whether changing the resonance pot might make it louder? What value did you use? If you used a 100k, then maybe changing to a 10k might up the volume? I’m just thinking out loud here!

Anyone else catch this? New LED art object from Lorre Mill. Would love to see a video of the colour changing effect. Looks like it would be a lovely visual companion to their synthesizers.

I just saw this on the website now. I have just ordered a Mosstone which I am very excited about. I noticed that it looks to be discontinued. I wonder if something new is in the works in addition to the Spectral Bloom…
