Hi there fellow lucky cowboy callosum owners. Has there been more info on the esoteric mixer part? I’m still kind of struggling to utilise it usefully. I just haven’t had so much time to spend with this immersive and deep instrument, but was wondering if someone has mastered some secrets of the callosum?
that would be nice. I wonder what kind of changes will he implement. Would be awesome to have inputs protected from negative voltages
This has been implemented somewhere in the earlier messages. I asked Will if it’s going to be significantly different from the original and he said yes.
Oh cool, I wonder what will bubble out of that workshop. I’m still keen to get my hands on the current version DK tho, hopefully a few change hands when the new version comes out.
It’s currently available at Control in Brooklyn for $140, which appears to include, in addition to the kit, a white plastic base enclosure a la the DK.
I just picked up a Mosstone and it’s a really fun little instrument. The only problem I seem to be having (outside of figuring it out) is that there’s some bleed from the noise into the oscillator- I have nothing patched and pretty much every knob counterclockwise and rather than just the triangle, there’s just enough fuzz underneath to be a little annoying (since I’m just expecting the oscillator). Is this typical behavior?

Has anyone tried a pair of Keyed Mosstones? I’m thinking about it. Cross mod FM could be fun and two voices obviously…

Maybe your ears are better than mine. Mostly my ears only notice stuff I don’t like, so maybe the triangle isn’t totally triangular…
There’s a tiny little bit of bleed on mine. Just enough to chalk it up to the character of the instrument and not worry about it.
What exactly are you using in this setup? I remember seeing the quickest little preview in an Instagram story sometime recently but couldn’t identify everything.
It’s interesting reading about the bleed as I’ve been feeding a very tiny amount of pink noise into my mangrove lately to change the character.
