Thank you! although I only have euro Serge I’ll try and patch up something too with my mosstone and double knot! is the only sound source the mosstone in your patch? if so I’m quite amazed at the variety of sound we can get out of that thing! well done

yes, mosstone is only sound source! double knot seems really great, too—I’m sure that sound-source combo controlled by your euro serge would yield some very interesting results. let us know how it goes!

Does anyone know when the Double Knot (or its successor) will be available? @Allieway_Audio had mentioned 2019 in a comment on one of her (awesome) videos. Do any of you have more info?

Taking a tangent here but I loved your video with the Sapel and Falistri, very Sergesque

I’m looking forward to more info on that, too. My Mosstone has thoroughly convinced me that a DK is in my future, but I want to wait for the new version!

wait, there’s a new version?

The only thing I know is a comment by @Allieway_Audio on one DK video Of hers that says that “there’s a spiritual successor of sorts on the way, eta 2019 according to will”.

I thank you too. Sorry for responding so insanely late, been offline in the mountains for a some time. It seems the descriptions of your issue fits mine precisely. So if anyone had info, my pupils would dilate. Peace.

I got a Keyed Mosstone yesterday and I’m having a lot of fun using it by itself coupled with Norns as an effect (I love Less concepts as a pseudo-chaotic rhythmic looper). I tried to tune the keys but, with the pitch knob completely CCW, it appears it can only go from a#2 to d#3. Can I extend the range by calibrating the v/oct trimmer? (it’s the one near the noise out, right?)

Anyway, I tuned the top and bottom bars to +17 and -12 as @Allieway_Audio suggested and that doubled the fun. Thanks!

I found this video very helpful for tuning, but maybe you’ve already seen it.

Oh thank you, I had actually never seen it.

are you sure that these are the 4" and not 5" buchlas?

Checked my order summary, and I guess you are correct!

thank you so much - so I will go with a 5" / 10" mix then  - 7 cables are enough I guess, correct?

Since they stack, there’s no way of knowing how many cables are enough.

If you have a mix of seven 5" and 10" you will be covered for just the mosstone, for sure.

Just got my mosstone! Lovely! The 5” bananas are perfect but good that I also took the 10” as recommended…
Only thing what is a little confusing is the tuning - I tried to tune it 1v/oct but that was a nightmare and I guess now it is completely out of tune… but with more time I will manage that too…

Here’s a short live set I did with only a keyed mosstone and a red panda particle

Cowboy Callosum and a little cocoquantus, just jamming a bit last night, I think all the bass in the sub range, was present at studio, lost on my home system…

Hiya,
I am confused by this suggestion, and have some questions.
If the point of adding the diode is to eliminate the negative voltage from the signal why would one want to “get both sides” of it by adding a second, reversed diode, and how does that work?
Or did you mean something else by both sides?
