Anyone using a Monome with Reaktor?

@jasonw22 you are missing the prefix in your example. default is box. you can change it in the preference file tehn was pointing at.
box/grid/led/set is working so i am not sure if float is the problem. probably just message formatting.

ok, got it working MLR Reaktor with serial osc. It was the new offset format that wasn’t working with the old patches. You need to set your port settings correct and have box as prefix.

My summer (here in Australia) plans include spending time with my Logic / Reaktor / monome / ER-301 / euro setup, so hopefully I can get some useful Reaktor patches happening.

first port is your reaktor osc send port(localhost) and the second one is you receive port

yes, forgot create and identifier thats called monome in the reaktor osc setup. let me know if that works for you, I hope you don’t have to manually reconnect the osc identifiers in the structure.

Finally got it to work. I kept trying to edit ~/Library/Preferences/org.monome.serialosc/m######.conf directly, but it kept changing back to /example. Used monomebridge to set the prefix to /box and all was well.

cool. yeah, you might have to copy the file to the desktop or so and edit and save it there and then copy it back. You could also change the prefix in the reaktor structure to /example but thats a little tedious.

I’ve started trying to get Reaktor and my 128 working, and got a bit stuck on the above.

(I have a 128 plugged in, and its working fine in Max with things like grainfields.)

There’s no files in my ~/Library/Preferences/org.monome.serialosc/ folder, so I created one called whatever.conf , based on some random blog I saw, but no luck. Restarted, etc. No luck.

I wasn’t clear what the config file should be called, couldn’t find much info on it, though I’m probably not searching for the right questions uet.

Any help would be appreciated. (non-Max-user here.)

mine is called m1000649.conf but maybe double check if you are in the user Library or the general library Open finder and use the go tab, that’s there the monome conf file is living.

Suprise! my conf file popped up today, called m1000013.conf , in the user lib. Maybe a further restart helped?

Is m1000013 some kind of serial no., I wonder?

Anyway, onwards and upwards now to try and connect to Reaktor.

OK, got BoxStep basically working, except not getting the buttons on the grid to light up when I press them. They activate (and deactivate) steps within BoxStep correctly, but don’t turn on / off on the grid.

No doubt more reading for me about OSC mapping in Reaktor.

Current settings as follows for reference:

osc prefix must be “box” to work with the reaktor ensembles i posted. But you could also change the prefix manually in the osc in and our modules in the structure.
The identifier name doesn’t matter, you have to change it in the conf file to box.

I am trying to use my old 40h with reaktor too, where is the .conf file for this new implementation of serialosc on windows? Last time i used was with the old monomeserial way
