Anyone wanna put together an all modular/experimental bill in nyc?

looking to put together a little bill of experimental/ambient performers. I need a small space in Brooklyn/Queens/NYC, if you know or have a place or want to perform or know someone who would then let me know!

dan from dirtytapes has done stuff there, also teenage engineering
so
they might be open to a proposal for modular gathering

mabye rope darren and the folks behind CONTROL into the event (or host it there, perhaps?)

Don’t know where, but I would certainly come play. I live in central New York State.

I’ve done a lot of ambient, some experimental, and have gotten into modular in the last couple months.

I just saw a free improv show tonight at Muchmore’s, they have a decent QSC system. Booking happens through their website.

There’s also H0l0, which does a lot of experimental and modular stuff, though I don’t know how to book there and it might be overly saturated. And Trans-Pecos, The Glove, and Secret Project Robot, which are bigger spaces in Bushwick/Bed-Stuy. I know there are a couple other venues in Ridgewood that book stuff, but I can’t remember their names. I’ll look into it.

I don’t perform modular but I do a lot with Max/Monome and live instruments. I’ve been working on a duo with a friend if you need more performers.

Great! I’d love to make this happen. I’ll keep track of this thread, but let me know if you find a suitable venue.

I would definitely want to come preform, I’m working on my ambient set right now! I went to drone fest at H0l0 and it was really inspiring. I’d love to help put this together!

I’m in CT but would be willing to travel. I do electroacoustic + piano/voice music in Ableton with some improv
