Sorry, I thought indeed it would be a standard, that was my take away from reading the mechanical specs on the Doepfer site. And as the DIY rails I came across so far here in Germany, as well as cases from other manufacturers like Acidlab Acidlab use M3, I assumed it was the de-facto standard.

This variance might explain why I had to vertically enlarge the mounting holes on an Intellijel µstep to mount it in my Acidlab case with M3 rails.

yeah unfortunately eurorack has been standard-less almost from the very beginning (compare specs between doepfer and analogue systems if you’re interested). it’s only gotten worse with the surge of new manufacturers over the past five years. most follow doepfer spec for power, but physical things like rails and mounting holes and usage things like cv ranges is very dependent on the brand you buy. this is why you’ll see some people who stick with only a few brands of modules-- it’s easier to ensure everything will work properly together.

Thanks for the info, did just that (comparison between Doepfer and Analogue Systems) – wow, different power connectors! In any case, sorry for derailing the thread, now its back to drooling over the Isms for me!

m2.5 because those were the sliding nuts we could get. we include all the screws you’ll ever need.

Also M2.5 is the smallest cap size so I find them the least intrusive aesthetically.

thanks for this. for months now, i’ve been trying to figure out how that percussion in the video was generated. also, for clarification: somehow a single three sisters is providing a slowly morphing filter for the melody, while simultaneously working with the pink noise section of the top row? been trying to figure out how the demo was patched for sequencing, gating, and audio; looking to get ideas for ansible’s grid modes.

so far, i just have mangrove, but the rest of the mannequins line seems amazingly, attractively flexible. i may end up with half of the isms composition system when the module-swapping dust settles.

+1. any insight or speculation appreciated as i frantically look for modules that do EXACTLY this sound.

isms noise through isms lpg’s, bass drum is three sisters getting sharp pulses from ww with resonance turned up.

i should’ve documented this patch more closely as it was a long time ago, but let me know which sound in particular you’re wondering about and i can probably recreate it
