Doesn’t Norns act as a USB host? I think Op-1 requires that for midi over USB. I never got that working but was hoping it’ll be possible if connected to Norns.

What’s the word on connections to other devices like Digitakt, KeyPress, 0-coast?

@jah has been using his op-1 as a norns controller with success, so yes

no, it’s a computer. the device port is a charge/serial interface, so it’s can’t be configured as a soundcard.

All the cool kids (comme moi) are in the second batch. We will benefit from any learning and growing pains experienced by members of the first batch. We will also enjoy the delicious sensation of anticipation for a few weeks as demos and new scripts and new experiments begin to roll in. It’s All Good.

Staying in organelle land for now (thanks @trickyflemming) – but very much looking forward to the “norns music” thread to come. One day, when my kid goes away to school and I retire to the mountains, I’ll save up enough for a norns+grid. :wink:

Also was in the boat where the money just happened to be laying around today, very excited for this piece, thanks to all who have worked/are working towards getting this out in the world!!

question I may have missed elsewhere, less about norns specifically and more about interfacing w/ norns:

Can I connect a computer to its wifi dongle w/o a proper wifi router? Either via adhoc wifi on my laptop or hotspot on my phone? I purged non-cellular data from my house in a productivity grab, nearing the end of a year and have been shocked by how much I get done. But was a little curious if I should prep and pick up a wifi router in order to get my comp talking to norns plug free.
