I think it’s a glockenspiel.
Dolla dolla bill y’all
I know it will not sound anything special but this is what I was waiting for a long time…I found myself looking at loopers In the last 2 months obsessively…now I only need to wait…thanks @tehn
Can’t help but think this might just plug right into ansible…
Glockenspiels are metal. Xylophones are wood.
Seems counterintuitive, because “xylophone” sounds more futuristic.
Seems like a kind of obvious way to handle the “controls voltages.” Really excited to hear more on that front! Teletype is another possibility along the same lines.
yep Glocke = bell in German xúlon = wood in ancient Greek
this said… haven’t got much time to dive into the details atm, but nonetheless, this seems really like what I have been waiting for all those years
Ive not seen one mention of teletype inegration or i2c… Entirely different audience? Makes total sense to me…
If I may add one question to these: how dependent will this be on the Grid (in case this has been asked and answered already please pardon me asking again)
as @tehn says: there are more things to be revealed in the coming week. Maybe patience is in order.
Also: smart moves on using the Pi Compute module. I’m always surprised how few visible projects are using those, they seem like such a good idea for so many things.
Interestingly, May 3 is the first day of superbooth, so, I wonder…
Oh man, I didn’t even think of that. I’ll be in Berlin for that too…
perhaps @tehn will beat that again
Likewise (for 20+ chars of GAS)
at long last… the mentions on walks thru the field with @marcus_fischer and here we are! beautiful!
I was sure this precise thing would happen. it was just a matter of “patient waiting” for me. The real surprise is the fall of the beard.
–> New Netflix series?
If MLR on norns has the ability to recall “songs” with preloaded samples, that could entirely be possible. For me, I am imagining live gigs with norns, grid, easel, matrix mixer, effects.
I will acquire one of these doodads.
