hi everyone.

we are building and shipping. many discoveries on the way while scaling from building a dozen units to many more than that.

today we’ll probably only get 25 or so out. tomorrow a big batch. saturday morning hopefully the rest.

Are the 606 samples part of the app? Can sounds be swapped via live-sampling (or some other method)???

this app uses the sampler built by @jah and the sounds can be whatever you want!

live sampling not implemented currently

This is amazing – thank you for sharing this and the PDF in your following post.

I’m in the 2nd norns batch, and as I can’t code (except for getting Teletype to do one or two things I wanted it to do) I was constantly torn when following this thread whether or not it was a really good idea to get into this norns adventure. I have to admit that a lot of the technical questions asked in this thread – and also the answers to these – made me think that norns will be asking too much of me, and that I should probably sell it to somebody else who can code.

But for some reason this example made me think “ok, I will stick with it, there is beauty in getting music out of such a small amount of code – imagine you can have a little box that allows you to tweak this music in real time with your fingers”. And that’s from a guy who is not even into chiptune music!

I’m order #2316 in the second batch and just got a shipment notification. Is this just a sign that a label has been created for shipment in late June or has the first batch gotten larger?

we did better than expected today and yes a couple mis-numbered shipments went out.

I noticed that on a photo of the PCB, there is a switch on the bottom right that seems to be no longer present? Or maybe it’s still there but covered by the case?
