Just checked, no sound logo.

I have to say, I don’t know why, but I’ve been obsessed with the concept and process of sound logos for a week now.

that’s norns for you! this is the bumper you see when you boot it up. the audio is novation peak > a billion effects > tape deck > a billion effects > more effects.

:sob: :sob: thank you so much

This is just insane!
Stunning UI and conceptually mind blowing. Loving everything about this and can’t wait to dive in.
I had a quick look at the docs and saw there is midi and crow outs which is unreal but I didn’t see anything about Just Friends.
Is it possible to output directly to JF?
If not is this something you will be adding?

The “auton” will be coming in a subsequent release.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!
(i just finished all of the vids you have posted.)
arcologies and Lissadron both look like they have come from the Megastructure of the BLAME! universe!

questions…
would it be possible to have a structure that randomly changed velocity with a MIN and MAX limit for both internal noiz and MIDI?
this would do wonders with percussive noiz!

would it be possible to have arcologies start and stop with MIDI?

thanks for making such an amazing script!

BLAME! looks awesome. i haven’t heard of this before.

yeah i like that midi structure idea. i’ll put that in the backlog.

say more about the start/stop via midi? the clock?

cool!

yeah…the MIDI thing would be start/stop of the clock externally.
was thinking it might make it easier to have a frame of reference when starting things up.
arcologies becomes sonically complicated fast!
:stuck_out_tongue:
i was running it tonight with a Cirklon driving everything and it was a bit freewheeling.
THANKS!

oh…and…here’s more info about BLAME!

can’t wait to try it, this looks amazing!

What an amazing session today! Thank you for twitching it!

I don’t have a grid or a norns - tbh I don’t know much about them beyond reading at monome.org and skimming various topics on here - so I feel a bit like a kid with their nose pressed to the window of the candy store, but, wow! @tyleretters, arcologies is a mind-blowing project, from concept to setting it loose upon an unsuspecting world!

I’ve no idea if my own creative path will ever lead into norns/grid - I’d like to think so, but I’m still only beginning the slide down into the rabbit hole of modular Eurorack and I think I may be there for some time  but arcologies has certainly lodged itself in my mind and I’m not sure it’s going to dislodge itself any time soon!

Thanks again for your time in making the launch presentation today; I wish you every success with arcologies into the future.

Enjoyed the stream. Thank you for sharing your work and creativity. I made a note of the different structures functions and look forward to creating with arcologies.

I had to step out and missed much of the tlön session, but it was so great to experience your process (and I loved the way you presented it). Thanks so much for sharing this!

vod of the livestream is up at the top.   in it i share a history of the development process and a lightning overview of all the structures.

here’s the intro “showcase” song from the stream. i quite like this one. it is exactly the type of music i hoped to make with arcologies - minimal yet generative; restrained yet capable of surprise. made with the digi crypt, a delay pedal, a novation peak, and crow/plaits/some fx.

thank you for stopping by!

it’s… a really amazing tool. i hope you make some awesome stuff you’re proud of with it.

 i love sharing stuff. if i inspire others that’s probably the best possible outcome favorite thing.

@tyleretters
i missed the party but i just finished watching the stream!

it’s so cool to see how this all came together and learning about the bit of inspiration from the Semiotic Standard!

A script developed by someone(s) who has(have) the exact same taste in movies, video games, graphic design, literature, etc. as me. Crazy.

Recommend reading Jeff VanderMeer’s novel Borne. He’s obviously known for his Deleuze/Lovecraft Southern Reach trilogy but really Borne is more about living in a ruined ecology/arcology that’s being overgrown with moss and lichen and the detritus of bioengineering.

Recommend also Final Fantasy Tactics (1996) for the Sony Playstation. Exquisitely isometric.
