Yeah, I saved it. I will try a crow reset.

Edit: That did it. Thanks!!

Hello,

Is used awake and plugged in to crow
I choose crow output 1+ 2
I choose crow clock out

But I don’t have a clock out on the crow when it plays the sequence.

Only on output 1 and 2 I have the sequence On out 1 and the transposition on out 2

Why do I do wrong?

Cheers

I believe it should be sending clock out on 1, so maybe try crow out 3+4 and see if you get a clock pulse on 1?

Line 172 seems to be where the clock output is set - https://github.com/tehn/awake/commit/e7f198038afc675070400f17063523546262da24

OK, I didn’t even looked further if there is a crow 3 + 4
I’ll test that

Thanks

Edit: @Gregory_Delabelle, It is described in post 150 and down of this thread actually.

I am pretty sure if you want crow clock out and the sequence you have to change the script. There is a description on how to do it in one of the threads. I believe it is line 217ish in the script. You would change the number 1 to a number 4 and then the clock will output out of 4 and your sequence will be out of 1 and 2 still.

Great info i’ll look it up thx

still this would like a logic thing to output the clock seperately, no?

If you change clock out to #4 instead of #1 inside the awake script on line 217 it should do what you’re after. I did it and it worked. :grinning:

Awesome! Glad you got it working.

@tehn Seems like theres a few people wanting to use crow to sequence and send clock out.
Would it be possible to officially change the clock out to crow out 4?
I was also thinking using crow out 3 for a random clocked voltage or some other modulation or gate?
What do you think?

It would be cool if output 3 was somehow related to the transpose sequence, not sure how it should function in relation to the scale settings though.

That’s exactly what I was thinking but because it sounds more complex to implement I didn’t suggest it, but I would love it if output 3 could send out the transpose cv for a related sequence

making the clock out configurable would be an easy update, want to try?

Is external clock working for everyone else?

I have it working with other scripts like zellen but it seems to not be functioning for awake (and I’m sure it used to work fine).

Way up the thread this has been mentioned…

Although now that line is at line 217, so try commenting that line out and see if it works for you

Just wanted to say that I had to change lines 254 and 292 to get the clock to output correctly on crow output 4 in the Awake_Passerby script.

Previously I had only changed line 254 and the clock output was all sorts of crazy wonky for some reason.

is there no interest in the opposite way? clocking awake from crow input

Im hoping that global clock gets implemented too so all apps can be externally clocked or can act as a master. But at the least I would really like to be able to clock awake from crow.

I commented it out and no go.
It’s odd, it used to work just fine…

revising awake based on feedback, just want to make sure i’ve got everything:

  • added crow clock input: user-switchable between input 1 or input 2, leaving the unselected input free for its original function. additionally, crow clock input can be disabled altogether, allowing the inputs to be used as they currently are
  • added tap tempo BPM to params menu
  • added crow clock out as output 4 (so crow output 1 and crow output 2 are note event-centric)
  • added simultaneous jf + cv as a sixth output option
  • added a crow reset + re-initialization params action for rogue crows
  • fixed the error while choosing MIDI clock

anything missing? should be able to get this out tonight

Is it much work to add second to second offseting sequence line to one of the outputs
