The only thing I can think of is that the Deep Mind has voice number as a source in the mod matrix, so for example you can have different modulations per polyphonic voice. Of course other synths have been completely multitimbral, or had unique keytracking sources (for example keytracking on envelope time in the Alpha Juno) but Im not sure off hand if other synths have used voice number per se.
Crave is just a straight copy of the Mother 32 functionality, down to the CC numbers on the MIDI implementation.

Their X-series mixers were fairly innovative at the time and continue to be standards. This product line, however is a direct result of the Midas acquisition - whether this can be considered a āBehringer Innovationā may be up for debate. The price-point of those mixers is certainly a result of Uli and Behringerās supply-chain expertise.
On another note, hereās an excerpt from an article re: Uliās perspective on IP from 2012ish.

Thatās interesting. I think TC has filled some of that role for them too, with things like Toneprint and the MASH switch stuff. Along with supply chain, they definitely have a smart acquisition strategy to go with it.

I like and dislike this. But I mostly dislike that forum.

Itās kind of a non-reply. I hope we never see this thing in the light of day. Pretty sure we will though.

Exactly this. I really look after all my equipment, keeping machines covered when not in use and making sure they are well packed and protected when moved about. The two Behringer machines I had failed in multiple places through poor build quality during light usage. Contrast that with a Yamaha drum machine which is over 20 years old, also mass produced, but has moved house 15 times, been stolen and recovered, dropped down a flight of concrete steps, crushed in storage, used as a cigarette holder during a smoky house-party - banged on for 20 years - and still works like new!

Unreal. How low can you go?
I wouldnāt be the least bit surprised if the next Behringer clone was a red hat that says āMake Synthesizers Great Againā.

There is a lively discussion on their YT and FB channels, on elektronauts and twitter. I have reported the video on YT and the post on FB.
We could also try to overtake the likes on the YT video with a mountain of dislikes, as Behringer seems to care about data metrics on YT.
For anyone who hasnāt seen it (the video has now been removed) this summarises it well:

Thanks for posting this. I didnāt catch the original.

This stinks. What an unbelievably low thing to do. I donāt think a full room of adults wrote off on this. It feels like something a very cocky owner of a company would do because he feels personally attacked by Kirn, and the company of folks just trying to make their living and build synths are cleaning up the mess.

Tbh Iāve tried to stay out the should they/shouldnāt they debate until now. This is at best childish, and Iāll be making sure to avoid all of their products.

You might be surprised how difficult it can be to find a room full of adults in a large multinational company. Itās bizarre how possible it is for a charismatic leader to amass a following when they provide financial incentives. Itās hard to stand up for what is right when your livelihood depends on doing otherwise.

Saved the link to watch later and itās gone already. VERY WEIRD. Social media viral all-publicity-is-good-publicity āBRAND IS UR MATE YEAHā troll-marketing is getting out of hand under normal circumstances, let alone with Uli behind it

Same here. I have one Behringer product in my setup - a patchbay I bought years ago - and Iāll be taking it out of my rack tonight. Iāve been silently watching and grimacing as line after line has been crossed, but childish bullshit like this is the end of the road for me and my noisy patchbay.

Wow. This is incredibly distasteful and a perfect example of the kind of behavior that I donāt want to see more of in the world. I was going to sell my Boog on Reverb (I bought a Moog Sub 25 last week), and Iām now torn between doing that and just dismantling the damn thing. I know that wouldnāt fix anything, but it would feel awfully nice.

Donating it to a kid or a school or an after-school music program would probably feel better than destroying it.
