Hi! I was spec-ing this out this evening but I’m having a real time finding the Panasonic A size electrolytic caps. Any source?

I’ve bought them from mouser and rs in the past… not bought any in a while though… I ought to change the footprint to B or C as well as make a few other changes I’ve been planning… not sure when I’ll get around to it hough!

Thanks for the reply!

I love the Kweiwen version, sounds more organic to me than the epoch (also louder output which is welcome). curious regarding the Afterlife V2 though as to how they implemented the connectors for the Turing expanders, is it something that can be retrofitted to other Benjolins like the Kweiwen?

I recently got this one, basically a double benjolin under a single panel
High level audio output and doubles as stereo filter too

This panel makes my brain hurt. Is it easy enough to use?

Easy enough if you have small fingers, I use finger tips

Oh did you build it yourself? Any tips? I have a pcb and parts ready but scared to touch the 0402s! :grimacing: Have used Kweiwen’s, Forestcraver’s and Macumbista’s Benjolins before, but the Be2N looks like an ultimate version. How do you like it?

Oh no, I sincerly couldn’t do that, good fiends of mine, Jolin Lab do excellent engineering works, small but very interesting company. To me, two is the right number of benjolin in a case and two inside one panel with high gain out is exactly what it takes to have a compact backpack modular synth/stereo filter/ very complex modulator unit…much more than two separate ones

Jolin Lab is cool. I ordered an Agogo in December and Federico was super nice. I had seen this on their site and it looks wild. I love my Benjolin V2 and I can’t wrap my head around an integrated double… LOL I bet it’s a load of fun!

This thread reminded me of a Make Noise-inspired approach to a Benjolin panel redesign I made in Illustrator a while back.

Nice version too
Did they released it?

Not released. Just a mockup for a redesign since I haven’t really liked any of the layouts I’ve seen for it thus far.

Integration does have pro and cons but in the end, this version sounds very good and when you get used to the lay out, just a couple of hours, then you’ll stop regretting the cons

I don’t see any cons aside from tight spacing. I meant to imply that it seems really, really awesome and would be a blast to explore. One Benjolin keeps me engaged for hours at a time, so I imagine two would be wild.

Trust me tight spacing is a problem, expecially if you have big hands and tired eyes, but the results pay back everything

Hi there,

new to the modular world and just notice this. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could etch boards in Beijing? Would love to get some benjolins pcb etch and diy it.

I’d guess that @MengQiMusic might know a lot about that kind of thing…

My friend made A Benjolin for Audulus. It was mostly just reverse engineered from descriptions, but he really tweaked it until it was an expert bizarre sound generator in it’s own way.

This inside of the patch was also pretty intense.

edit: stschoen has uploaded the module to the Audulus forum is you want to mess with it.
