Bite: a M4L percussion synth

dual voice three-operator FM percussion synth

Bite is inspired by Akemie’s Taiko, ALM’s FM drum synth module, and by patching drum sounds on the MS-20. It started when I thought to myself “well, I can’t really do drums on bitters or onebit, but I would like to.” Like the Taiko, the sound generation is FM synthesis. There are two voices that can be crossfaded, and each voice has three operators as well as feedback. The FM drives the adjustable-width triangle-wave oscillator from bitters and onebit. Almost every parameter has its own AR envelope with control over the release time. The default sound is synth plucks, but it can get lots dirtier.
