so i followed this guide to get bluetooth midi working on pi 3 then added the device via ssh terminal
https://mclarenlabs.com/blog/2019/01/15/korg-microkey-air-37-bluetooth-midi-keyboard-with-raspberry-pi/
it lists the keyboard (nanokey studio) in aconnect successfully
but it doesn’t show in Norns midi devices, any way to make this work?

Nope
Unfortunately Norns only looks at the USB subsystem for midi devices.
I’ve hacked on this a bit, but not made much progress.

It look’s like with Support for non-USB MIDI ports (Ex: virtual, network, etc ) - #10 by patriciogv this is now pretty straightforward!
It took me a long time to get to where @leolodreamland was a year ago but to make it easier for those interested, this is how I was able to get the internal bt to work
the next step was simply:
aconnect <blemidi>:0 <virtualmidi>:0

Hello,
Thank you for your post. I have been trying for a few days to activate Bluetooth following your instructions, but I haven’t had any success. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide more detailed guidance. Did you make changes to the “nonrs_defconfig” lines and compile your own Linux kernel? As a newcomer to Linux, every step is quite challenging for me. My goal is to use Bluetooth on Norns.
Thank you,
GA
One option is to consider turning a pi zero into a bluetooth midi dongle, I have a few and they come in handy often. https://neuma.studio/raspberry-pi-as-usb-bluetooth-midi-host/
When plugged into the Norns, it shows as a regular Midi device for ins and outs. I am then able to bluetooth connect to the Norns with my Ipad and send/recieve messages
