Attempted to collect all cassette releases from the community in a couple buymusic.club collections…there were at least 83(!) cassette releases created by this community this year. Here is the link

Apologies if I missed anything, please let me know in PM and I’d be happy to add it (or if I inadvertently added something released in a previous year or something). The goal of this collection is:

  • originally released in 2019
  • be available or have been available (and sense sold out) on cassette
  • have a bandcamp link
  • can be created by or released through a label you, or a member of the community, runs

I have a new cassette release coming out next week via a new Denver (CO) based label Multidim Records. The album took close to two years for me to complete, using various setups (Serge, Elektron, Bugbrand, Monome, Ciat-Lonbarde). The release mutated a lot throughout the two years but I’m very happy with where it ended up. The album artwork was hand drawn by Ryan Riss and cassette packaging was hand created by Zach Reini. Pre-Orders are up now, comes out 11/15.

I have a new cassette that was just released on Rusted Tone Recordings. It’s called “No Mind” and it was inspired by my meditation practice. The music was created only using eurorack modular.

My beat tape “Roof Tent Rhythms” is finally released:

The music was created entirely on a USB-powered Akai MPC 500, while I was on a roof top tent camping trip across Europe. Drum sounds are mostly from free online drum sound packs and for everything else I sampled bits from early Strategic Tape Reserve releases (1, 2, 3, 4).

The cassettes come in a pouch I made from our camping tarp, which we used as rain cover during the trip:

Hello! We’re putting out a compilation of ambient/experimental artists on Canigou Records next week, with music from Liis Ring, Honey Stretton, Laura Luna Castillo, AF85, Perimeter O, Adela Mede, Lisa Busby/John Harries, David Cordero, Warbler, Pepo Galán and Dyb.

Thanks to @Gahlord, I was reminded to update my buymusic.club link of all 2019 cassette releases. Looks like they upped their limit so I was able to consolidate all 105(!!) cassettes released by the community here. I hope this is helpful and y’all enjoy browsing and purchasing music from your fellow forum members.

Here’s a photo of my personal cassette collection. If you zoom in you can spot quite a few releases from this community. Going to need to make another shelf soon :sweat_smile:
