hey matt! sounds lovely otherwise! those clicks are just the play heads passing over the independent record head, which is (at the moment) totally expected to produce a click while the record head is recording.

the clicks mentioned upthread (which thru DM have seemed to resolve with time, strange stuff!) were way different beasts.

i’m investigating different ducking method flavors for cheat codes (so you’ll get a drop in volume whenever a playhead crosses the recording recordhead) and @zebra’s discussed more global softcut changes as well in the past. cheat codes is sorta uniquely prone to crossovers in live mode, as three playheads are asynchronously traveling a single recording window. throw variably-sized windows into the mix and it’s hard to nail down what’s best / most acceptable. also, whatever i implement is gonna be doubtlessly goofy.

Ah, right on, sir! Glad to hear that it’s expected. Back to beep-booping for me then

lol, andrew loves clicks.

oo…maybe a version of Sam to add clicks to the source material?

love your piece!

also this is a revelation
i heard about it recently and forgot to research more

what an amazing idea to run it on music sans vox!

Just sharing a video I made. I’m loving this script more and more and more. Can’t wait for v1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1, but having a ball with the current release  Thank you!

Only upon further thought did I realize how this might be a pretty silly request. I can play back four bars and assign the pads as desired.

Clearly don’t have my head on straight! Haha

No no let’s do ducking on the backend for sure

Thanks! I got it packaged in one of their little $50 beginner bundles, and it has been a real lifesaver. Highly recommend!

oh dang, when it hits 4 minutes, some great reichian vibes!! thank you for sharing!!

no, not silly at all! got me thinking in good ways, thank you

@dan_derks playing more with the envelops and I was wondering if there would be room for a reversed slope ENV? Slow attack and quick decay or even a third choice of a ramp shape as in slowish attack and slowing release…

ie) the two new shapes would be /I and ^

definitely on my own wishlist  it’ll make its way in, for sure. thanks for the energy toward it!!

No thanks you for all this hard work!!!

Also just got an Arc and oh my! it really open up CC for live play…

just wanted to ask if something would be possible…

is it possible to add a snap or jump to feature for MIDI control?

when switching sections and then moving a controller the sounds will jump to where the fader is which can be a bit problematic sometimes.
:stuck_out_tongue:
anyhow…just kept forgetting to ask.

I’m having trouble recognizing/understanding how the delay works. Each bank can feed a stereo delay.? How do I select which bank I am assigning the delay parameters to? It appears I can’t but at times it sounds like it isn’t global. Are there three delays?

yeah – these discontinuities are just the result of adding params at the end of the process because I realized folks might like MIDI control, but they weren’t a part of the core scripting. I think I caught 'em all, but if you can DM any that are particularly noticeable that’d be :100:!

part of this is totally obscured by the balance between the UI menus + the system params menu. thanks for the q + opportunity to help clarify

basically:

  • by default, all three banks feed into a single stereo delay
  • in the [delay] UI menu, level gives control over the stereo delay’s global level. this mirrors the global level entry in the system params menu.
  • in the delay L and delay R part of the system params menu, there are individual send levels for each bank + each delay channel. these are default to 1.0 / full send.
  • adjust these send system params to stop feeding a particular bank’s pads to that specific delay channel. eg. setting delay R: (b) send to 0.0 means that the right delay line will no longer receive audio from the pads in bank (b).

hope this helps, please lmk if you have any further q’s!

@ypxkap + @shellfritsch, y’all. I am so so glad you asked about implementing an op-z / dj-style filter:

filters-m

nearly do.o.o.o.o.o.o.one with 1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1

!!
it’s one of those little things on the OP-Z that they just got right, both the concept and the actual feel. not that they invented it or anything, but yeah. it also ruined the filter controls in my own script for me. really hope to get back into coding someday…
