not sure if iā€™m going to be able to make it, but Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) scored a performance thatā€™s opening at the Harris Theater downtown tonight - there are also shows on saturday and sunday

I am a long time lurker here and recently moved to Chicago. I am going to try and get out and see some of the awesome shows posted here.

I also will be at Constellation tonight (11/1) with my project Restroyā€“Avreeayl Ra, Mabel Kwan, James Davis, Kevin Davis, Paul Giallorenzo and myself. There will be a lot of keyboards on stage. If your curious our recent record is streaming on bandcamp here.

dang, 90%+ chance Iā€™ll be trekking to Chicago for that Pitchfork winter thing. The add-on ticket aspect made me cringe for a second, but when you compare to the cost of non-Pitchfork fests, it will likely still come out cheaper total and likely with smaller crowds since people wonā€™t be seeing acts they donā€™t care enough to pay for.

Iā€™d make the trip for probably a half dozen or so of those performances even if they were alone (esp Laurie Anderson, Panda Bear, Slowdive [why does Mount Eerie have to overlap with Slowdive ahhhhh]), pretty amazing to have such a solid lineup for a winter event!

i sketched out a schedule on my lunch break and iā€™m thinking iā€™ll probably pick up 6-8 add-ons depending on the price? iā€™m so stoked to see yves tumor, he skipped chicago on his recent tour.
