next weekend is experimental sound studio’s garage sale - i’ve never been to ESS, but i think i’m going to make the trek up for this! probably just going to be window shopping, but who knows… :money_with_wings: :money_with_wings: :money_with_wings:

Hey All,
I’m playing The Whistler on June 27th, with my group The Shape Of. This performance
will be in the vibe of live instrument electronic stuff from the 70’s like Ashra, Cluster and Neu!. Mostly improv stuff based off some loose modular synth ideas.

More info:

My set uses Teletype/grid studies. Ansible/Kria. Ansible/cycles. Norns/MLR and Norns/Orca. Both Telex modules. 16n fader. I have the Teletype/grid also controlling some loopers in the ER-301. So it’s a Monome-Heavy affair! Great bar with good cocktails.

Knobcon rapidly approaches - I don’t think we have a dedicated thread?

Anyway, I’m super excited. I just saw the workshop list and saw that Todd Barton has a workshop at 1:30 on Saturday. I will definitely be attending that one! (I’m only going one day, Saturday.)

The DIY workshops are up now, too. Lots of Befaco. (IMO they are optimistic with their build times, those are more complex than I would assume reasonable in a group setting…)

I thought it was strange that the “learn to solder” option (the Zlob mixer) also says it’s not really suitable as a first DIY project :confused: I’m passing on all the DIY stuff.

I’m there for all three days, though I might zip out earlier on Sunday depending on how I’m doing. Allergy season, anxiety and poor sleep made things a little overwhelming for me a couple of years ago.

I’ll be there, probably Sunday - @Starthief I also noted that the Zlob mixer says “not a suitable first project” but I am probably signing up for it anyway :man_shrugging:

I likewise don’t do great in crowds but very much looking forward to this.
