Christopher Elmore - AM

I recorded A.M. for my grandmother sometime in the afternoon on April 16th. She passed in her sleep at some point later that night. Recording this was one of the only healthy ways I could think to cope with her loss. She has always been very important to me, and I knew I had to make something beautiful for her.

Gratitude to Peter Speer and his “Om Shanti (extended)” video for inspiring the use of minimal setup (in this case, a short loop through Morphagene and Erbe-Verb and mixed together via XOH), David Tibet and Current 93’s “Where the Long Shadows Fall (Beforetheinmostlight)” for the “Domine” loop that introduced me to Alessandro Moreschi (“Ave Maria” was sampled and looped to create this recording), and Tom Erbe (@ebremot) for the DSP and modules that made the recording possible.
