I am away from my 10.4 Mac right now but I don’t think I installed Supercollider on it. Simply start via the icon. Did not work on 10.14 or 10.15 for me if that is what you are using.

Xynthi working on 10.7.5, although no sound currently. it shows the interface in the boot window list of devices and sees midi commands (gates light on and off)…any ideas?

Just to clarify, Xynthi works for me on 10.4.11 G3 or G4 only, it seems to work on 10.3.9 as well (as written on the mock funeral page). Also, for me, it does not work on Snow Leopard (Intel Machine) or 10.14 and I am not sure if the version @pmj mentions which seems to be a bit different is to be found elsewhere.

In other news, ppooll 2.8 seems to work fine on Snow Leopard with Max Runtime 6.1.10.

Here’s another ‘oldtimer’ (2003): DataDada. Great for harvesting glitchy audio samples …

In case it’s useful for anyone, this is the 2009 version of Xynthi I mentioned a few posts back that I run here under High Sierra with no issues. I asked Bhob if it was OK to share, he’s fine with it so here it is:

I run it principally on a desktop machine, it displays rather oddly on a Macbook but other than that seems OK there too.

Mac Mini w/ High Sierra 10.13.6
MOTU Ultralite Mk3 Hybrid set to 48kHz

I can’t shed any light on why it works and nor could Bhob, it doesn’t open here if I have any kind of aggregate device set up in my sound settings but straight to the MOTU is fine. Hope it helps.

I get that same error. Running OS 10.12.6. Bummer

Thanks for sharing this, this works OK on my white Macbook 2.1 with Snow Leopard while the other version had unclickable save and load buttons. It does not work on 10.14 which is my most up to date system.
Also, with this version I still have the same issue with the cut off layout (the modulation bus being on a second page)… on the Macbook and also on a G3 Pismo with 10.4. Would be so cool to get it onto one page… Still usable and a very fine sound indeed. <3

I get that window splitting on a Macbook too, you can apparently get into the SC code and adjust it for smaller screens but I’ve no idea how or where you’d need look I’m afraid

Yeah, me neither  Still, this version must really be slightly different than the zip file. Maybe decompressing the zip file does something weird and the dmg archive prevents that, this is the only obvious difference in the files as far as I can tell…

Bhob said something similar actually “I’m not sure if I changed anything between 2007 and 2009. It might just be a different zip from a different computer…”

Does anyone have a Pluggo Runtime for os9? Can’t find a link for it.

All the SC files are in there and they are quite eloquent
i am drooling over the vco and the tape delay right now

Does the layout look fine for you?
If not and if you “speak SC”, would you know how to do this (the changes, we all know how to live with the weirdness by now, haha)?

“(…) Xynthi_Run.rtf executes the GUI layout and can be easily modified to accommodate multiple windows that make sense. or, you can just live with the weirdness.(…)”

no i am reconciling the errors with the GUI still
i got all the plugins and extensions in there properly
be wary of Cruciallib & Crucial-Library

Does anyone know the fix to support older SCSLider libs?

th0nk was one of my favorites, despite a personal issue with the author.

SoundFront FX, more spectral plugins for SoundMaker.

Could you find a working download link for these? I’m clearly doing something wrong as I couldn’t

Sorry no, I should’ve mentioned that in my post. Been scouring the Wayback Machine to no avail but I’m sure they must be somewhere.

Isn’t that it?
