Glad I am not the only one with this silly idea!

This is my current setup:

Ableton+M4L

I am having a good time with the doepfer translating signals to my setup in Ableton+M4L, it does loses signals when you have a very fast triggers going on. The trigger I/O seems like a good investment. For my kind of music/composition ideas, this setup is going in good direction: ecosystem of samples and movement in sound (complex lfo’s, envelopes are central), if I turn knobs on the maths everything moves with it. With the beginning and end of cycle triggers on the maths I can trigger samples. This is for now just a test-setup and I am not that happy with the Rene, a second maths might be a good addition, I am also thinking going for a teletype, meadow physics and monome.

I think it a great idea my most exciting discoveries through modular are related to triggering rather than timbre. Maths is a really good idea, also a Sport Modulator does similar trigger related things. I’d recommend a quad clock from 4ms and a A166 logic to really play with this idea.
