Here ya go!

I had trouble with it too. As amazing as Silent Way is, it does take a little time to get used to how it all works.

The key thing to point out, and what might have been catching @Plym out is that SW Sync outputs both a clock signal, and run (high when the transport is running). You need to make sure they’re going out on different channels.

Ah yes thank you for adding this!

Thanks @photofractal - I will give this a spin asap and teppet back! IIRC I did notice the thing with it also running a constant high as @GoneCaving mentions. Should I just split the track with SW into L and R and send one of the channels to a free output?

Giving it a go right now with your exact settings, and while it does get my Grid to play in sync with the track tempo at 8 PPQN and 8 by multiplier the sequences seems to run rather unstable if I try to multiply the division in SW. What’s your experiences with that?

Haven’t played with it much, but seems to work ok. One other thing I did have to do was play around a bit with the Clk High voltage, and reduce it to about 0.6.

Also you can either split the track into two channels, or simply disable the Run output as per the earlier screenshot.

Cool! Will have to experiment with the high voltage settings. Thanks for great advice

I’m currently using the Silent Way Voice Controller to sequence my modular from Ableton but I kind of hate it. I find it to be really annoying to use. Does anyone know of an alternative way to send pitch and gate out of Ableton. I’m using an ES8. I just want something really simple. I almost want to buy a Yarns but I really would rather not get another module.

I own an es8, but i have been using a cvpal to clock my modular to Ableton.
I ceeate a midi track in Live and output it to cvpal

Presuming you have Max for Live, you could maybe try CV Tools.

Ooh I found exactly what I was looking for!

The DRD_Pitch&Gate-CV

Dead simple max for live device and works perfectly. I’m liking this way more than the Silent Way and CV Toolkit ones already.

The new ableton cv tools in beta seem to work really flawlessly for me so far using just the (DC coupled) outs from my soundcard. I definitely recommend giving them a try.
