I still use my 2 W/‘s in every patch because they are so playable. Plus now I can focus them more as synced delay/loopers.

If compass ends up with a sync option then maybe my W/‘s will be less used…but probably not.

Sat down with Compass and a ContinuuMini while I had a free hour or so this afternoon, and I have to say that this script is such a blast to use. I think that mapping some of parameters to be controlled by an Arc would take it to another level, but even as it stands, Compass is incredibly fun.

Used two different P’08 patches for this little test and threw some ableton echo on it for a little mid/side wideness.

Thank you! I had a problem trying it out for weeks… realized I wasn’t on the newest firmware of norns and am kicking myself for not figuring that out sooner :slight_smile:

@giovannilami — shoot. Thanks for the log! Do you remember how/when this error occurred? I seem to remember something similar in my early testing, but thought I had cleared it out with the released script. I’ll take another look in the meantime.

when I upload the script it doesn’t read it.
it works in one of my norns but not in the other. quite strange.

Interesting. Can you confirm that both of your norns’ are running on either of the two most recent firmwares (either 2.1.0 or 2.1.1?) The error in your log is related to the softcut pre filter I have set in the script – the pre and post filters were released specifically in 2.1.0

I just ran the script with the latest firmware (2.1.1, i.e. 190817), and it launched without issue. Hopefully that helps!

I remember there being some discussion about being able to load prerecorded files ala MLR style clip loading but I can’t seem to find the answer… Is this on the horizon? I plan on using Compass in an upcoming show this weekend and that feature would be super helpful.
