This looks incredible! Has anyone had any luck getting it to work properly with midigrid? I can see the grid and changes on the norns reflect properly on my launchpads (slices, pages, etc.), but the launchpads aren’t controlling the script. Toga is working great as a workaround, but I’d love to get midigrid functioning.

also…in the manual it says:

Hold K1 and press K3 to remove the splice marker at the end of the active splice.

when i do this it just goes into some sort of record mode.

the script checks if you’ve got a crow connected to norns at lauch and will make the parameters visible if one is connected. you’ll find the crow params right at the top under the system parameters. haven’t had much time to check if they work properly. let me know if you run into any issues.

not yet. good call. I’ll add that soon. you can midi map it though if you go to parameters > splices.

you need to press K2 to toggle the “reel view” first if you want to add/remove/edit splice markers.

Loving the sounds I am getting from this script.

also I really enjoy the approach of releasing a script and 3rd party launch video together, it gave me the pleasant experience of an event.

thanks for looking at midigrid compatibility, here is some more info about my experience:

I’m using the polygrid mod
all scripts and firmware on latest versions
the script is sending info to the grid
the full grid UI appears and changes in response to the script
(e.g. interval (y) parameter changes visible layout)
midigrid is not sending info back to the script (e.g. button presses do nothing)
there are no error codes being shown in maiden.

Unfortunately I just realised that I have no means of testing midigrid at the moment.

just to be sure: those who tried midigrid replaced

local g = grid.connect()

with

local grid = util.file_exists(_path.code.."midigrid") and include "midigrid/lib/midigrid" or grid
g = grid.connect()

?

I’ll ask around and see if I can get to the root of the problem.

One question, as from the vid i suppose an old dusty 64 grid just doesnt cut it bc the right half is missing. Or could that be done with scrolling pages?
Otherwise midi a better bet or 64 grid + midi?

Totaly aware that this isnt a big interest as most including yourself iam sure use a 128

@Hlp 64 grid support in the works. there will be a key to switch between both pages. But for now I’d go with the left grid quadrant and a midi keyboard/controller.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong but when I start Concrete, it say Error:init and if I start it again it stuck on loading! Any clue ? Thanks a lot

I got that error when I added a line of code to make arc work with Toga through TouchOSC.
I removed that line as suggested above and it’s now working properly

yes, we can! all the required steps are described here: maiden | monome/docs

basically make sure that your norns and computer are on the same network and then type norns.local on your browser and hit enter to access maiden.

when running a script, any error messages are printed out on the lower part of maiden. you can post them here (preferably within a “hide details” tab) and we can check what’s going on.

how to hide things

go to the “gear” tab and select "hide details from the dropdown menu and put you text between the square brackets.
