I had this album on at work the other day and my friend/part-time coworker, whose main gig is as a firefighter, asked what it was. I told him, and he said ā€œthis is great! Iā€™m going to put this on at work when I need to get everyone to chill out and be nice to each other!ā€

I think that qualifies as a :100: review!

@shellfritsch - My wife and I listened to Sharing Waves as we drove out of the Grand Canyon park area last month, in dense forests filled with fog. Perfect. I think it even (partially) got rid of my wifeā€™s migraine :slight_smile:

have been thinking a lot about what makes this album ā€˜specialā€™ to me in the time since it was released. been listening almost daily. thought to share. stimulate discussion 'r sumfin.

Sharing Waves grips novel moments and capitalizes on them, seizing upon patterns blooming from arcane algorithmic processes and drawing the gesture outward, beyond the algorithmā€™s established reach. the affective carry-over is a compositional confidence and presence generative music sometimes lacks. iā€™m grateful for this record because it actively displays the kind of creative decision-making that drives me toward modular while operating within a textural aesthetic (can we call it ā€œrings into clouds UNABRIDGEDā€?) both fresh and familiar.

I really love your musicā€¦ And Kaitlynā€™s as wellā€¦

I donā€™t know if it makes any sense but I feel some kind of Pacific Northwest nature spirit vibes in both of your music, in a way that seems a bit like a family resemblance. Not that youā€™re not both individuals, but that you live in the same ā€œtipiā€ and the vibe is unavoidably interwoven, in a beautiful tribal kind of wayā€¦

I have aspirations in that general direction for my own music, so it was a lovely surprise to discover that you were a regular on linesā€¦

Btw, I met you briefly at Berklee when you two visited a while ago. I was the older guy sitting in front asking questionsā€¦ the event was in the modular lab before the show later that nightā€¦ which I missed because I have a bit of a challenge driving at nightā€¦ arghā€¦

I just discovered this album today and already like it a lot: very dense, organic and calming. @shellfritsch If you donā€™t mind sharing, Iā€™d love to hear if this is all Eurorack? If so, this is one of the most Buchla-esque Eurorack albums I know.

Is any shop holding physical copies of this? Or is there any talk of a repress? Itā€™s a great record and 250 copies is unfortunate :confused:

i know what you mean about the buchla vibes. iā€™m very inspired by the sounds of those instruments. we have a music easel but it somehow didnā€™t make it onto this album.
