Mine is stuck in “transit” since more than a week between Frankfurt and Berlin. How long did you have to wait?

i’m assuming it’s a shield kit, which is normal postal mail. to ship this cheap it normally takes 1-2 weeks, but depending on the effectiveness of the customs agency it can get stuck there for a couple weeks as well.

we ship UPS for (almost) everything else.

It usually is up for 2 weeks in customs. Turnaround for monome deliveries to Germany has been for me between 23 days (twice) and 38 days once. The bottleneck is customs for sure.

Omg. Ok thanks. Ordered something from the US before but it didn’t take that long. Thanks for the info!

I can’t remember the exact time, but I think for Crow it was faster than I expected. Customs (and DHL) in Germany work in mysterious ways and I’ve had everything from one day to two weeks in customs until I received a customs pickup notice or got the package delivered to the door.

EDIT: Just checked my mails and I got a shipping notification for Crow on October 1 and it was delivered on October 17.

Yeah, there is some unpredictable patterns when it comes to getting notified or not, it being stuck there or not. As I said, it always was customs. I ordered two shield kits recently, did not get a notification and had to pay 35 EUR for tax, customs and handling. I don’t mind paying these things, just wish German customs would be a bit more convenient. Due to a dayjob I am not able to pick things up in their Kafkaesque location in Berlin.

Just picked up my Norns shield at the postoffice after writing an E-mail to the post. I think it was sitting there for a while. Anyway I hope I don’t burn it with my iron. #firsttimesoldering
