I’ve also noticed that sometimes the track statistics are a mess.

As a side note, one thing I’m going to start doing is putting the current playlist at the top of my spotlight each week. I’m not sure when they introduced the home page, as distinct from the /stream page, but that also I think has resulted in some reduced play.

Daniel I have also noticed this. There’s definitely something up. But for me it just started yesterday.

First time contributing to Disquiet Junto. The track was made using Fieldscaper app featuring two samples - one an original string section line and the other a conga sample from a 70’s LP. I used the looper section to play the synth part in live and recorded the horn in one take last night. Could probably do with a better mix but it stands up ok. I wanted to try and portray a search for peace in a sometimes chaotic world. The track is dedicated to my wife as it’s our anniversary today!

Welcome to the Junto, and happy anniversary.

Nah, that can’t be it.

Look, if the Rolling Stones can still tour, we can still post to Soundcloud… Right?!

Yep - No worry, DeDe. I went to Soundcloud stats and it shows 30 listens for a track from this URL thread, with a play count of eight for the same track.

So sounds like Soundcloud might be a little Stonedcloud.

The core of the piece was done on a Buchla 158 clone. Today was the 1000th Gran Prix in F1 history.

running glut.lua on norns

4 samples:

  1. electric guitar > boss compressor > norns
  2. nord electro on EP setting > norns
  3. hermit_leaves.wav
  4. 01.wav

Recorded drums for this but my rhythm is real bad for what I want to do right now, maybe in the future.

Unexpected break from the Junto, but I’m here again!

For a lost friend.

Based on a field recording of a solitary walk at Buckley’s Breakaway, Western Australia.

While I knew exactly who I was writing for, this started with some ramblings around Dm, and a lot of adding and removing layers of feedback and tape delays until I was happy with it. Für Elise because it couldn’t be farther from that.

This track’s intended audience will never hear it, but hopefully you guys might like it.

Some notes on the making of: I thought I would record the sound of this bandstand with contact mics, but, despite it being in a small rural town, and looking very unused for some time (‘do not pass’ tape, &c), there was constant traffic in the space, making it impossible to record without the cars taking over. So I improvised and used the sound of contact mics on trees from elsewhere, and a brief melody I half-remembered on a native american flute. Finally added some cafe noise, and the sound of the sun from NASA, for more air, and waves.

Six plays, five likes, two comments. Something is definitely weird with Soundcloud data tracking.

Just a quick one. Wanted to finish something tonight. Unsure of who my audience is, I might just have played for my guitar. As it’s often neglected.

Fingerpicked through some pedals. Added some waves from the Ionic Sea.

Yep, and there’s still one track with no data , number 15 in the playlist.
There’s a thread about it
