Hey everyone, I’m happy to have found this challenge! Here is what I have come up with Scanner [disquiet 0407]
I did this on the fly last night after discovering this challenge. I wanted to capture the feeling of coming across abstract information during an unsettling night drive. The process involved reversing a drum sample I recently pieced together to sort of mimic the whooshing of tires between you and the road. Then the synths and processing came in to create the air/cross-signal/frequency vibes. I put some adlib vocals through the Vinylizer plug-in to get that random vocal intereference from far away towers and finally the Terence Mckenna excerpt to be the focus of what I would have been recording on my phone.
