I liked the feel of the track by @daniel-diaz and @howthenightcame, so with apologies, I was so bold as to add a third track in which i tried emulate a sound somewhere between a train whistle and an harmonica. Thanks for the great tracks and the opportunity to add a voice.

Added a third voice to a nice, atmospheric work by @onkeltuka and @ymeynard. Kept the originals intact and added a few takes of unsteady softsynth percussion to the drone & melody. Did a tiny bit of mastering with a tape saturation effect.

For my second go around, I let the rng send me to @encym piece from last week built on @onkeltuka piece from the first week. My first reaction was to hear the anxiety I’ve felt rumbling inside me for the last month or so. I decided to try to go with that and make it even more anxious.

Added a couple of atmospheric textured drones and then a looped synth sample run through multiple effects to make it noisy and anxious. Felt like it complemented the existing sounds so I stopped there.

Two very different entries from me this week:

First: “A Third Third”

This one started with this lovely piano theme by @baconpaul followed by some hip trumpet action by @stull. At first I was reluctant to engage this one because it sounded so nice already, and I usually make obnoxiously noisy synth sounds. I decided to give it a go and I’m super glad that I did. I managed to create a complex synth voice that sounds like a cello in the lower registers, and sounds more like a clarinet in the highs. I’m much more composer than player, so I had to record the part in sections, but who cares. I’m super pleased with the result. This is probably the disquiet I’m most proud of being a part of, and it taught me that I can do some really cool things with my synth I didn’t know I could do. This means I can make some pretty music alongside the harsh stuff.

Second: “Goose/Contaminator”

This conforms closer to my usual MO. This one started with this Guitar Journey by @stefans https://soundcloud.com/stefan_strasser) followed by these epic drums(https://soundcloud.com/gus-576228330/disquiet0429-74-drums) by @gusp which somehow ended up on @WilfriedHanrath’s page. I couldn’t resist adding some noisy distorted synth nonsense to the whole shebang. The end result reminded me of Fox/Soper Duo hence the goofy opposite name “Goose/Contaminator”. This was a blast and a half to make.

Thanks everyone. These are always super rewarding. Tonight I’m going to sit down with dark souls and listen to everyone elses tracks.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your take on this. It feels like you really brought the elements together into a coherent whole while still keeping them visible. Along with @PopGoblin , we make a great trio  !

I have added a third track to the Junto 0430 of @karst and @sevenism I have just recorded a violin with a bit of compression and reverb. I really liked how their tracks completed each other very well and my intention was to add something very simple and warm that would add a little contrast but would work together as well.

Again I have tried to tag everyone accordingly but I am still getting used to this so please excuse me if I have missed something and let me know if I can correct it. Thank you!

I think that is @euclidian’s 2/3rds trio with @banabila’s original, not mine.

Building from Fake-genius – Disquiet0430-telesonics which started with Daniel-diaz – Confined-telecaster.

Just played some sax from the hip.

Thank you for the inspiration Daniel Diaz and Fake Genius!

I did a random selection.

Disquiet Junto collaboration with @MattDavisMusic and @krakenkraft . I added Echoplex processed ebow guitar drones to their ominus opus. It seems a bit Fripp Eno esque.

Didn’t have time last week for part two but grabbed a couple of hours for this week. It was fun.

It would be great to do some more work on others from this project in the future… if that is OK.

This week’s track is this:

I used @banabila’s and @euclidian’s “Banabila Euclidian (disquiet0430)” and improvised three passes of guitar through my trusty mini setup. I then “played” the mixer to fade these in and out and did some EQing.

I added a bit of dreamy, laid-back livingroom piano to @stefans’s slide guitar part, and ambient guitar loops by @stijn.

The accompanying photo is of a bloom from an umbrella magnolia tree, taken at the Botanical Gardens at Asheville, NC - a nod to Stijn’s original inspiration. Feels to me like this piece would make lovely woodland wandering music.

Oh, and the piano track just by itself is here, for future Junto purposes:

Oh! My apologies, I didn’t understand your role. I thought one of the artists had multiple accounts or something. I’m going to edit both the post and my soundcloud so you are properly attributed. Cheers!

Oh, looks like I can’t edit the post. I’ll edit Soundcloud at least. Cheers!

Hey All, Really have enjoyed working on these the last few weeks. I did many different trios but I will go with these three.

For any gluttons for punishment here is a playlist with all the trios I attempted.

Hope all are well. Peace, Hugh
