As a casual bird watcher, I’m constantly observing birds and listening to their calls and songs. Especially when I’m hiking in a pine forest near our home. Here at the house at night, there are Great Horned Owls that occasionally call to each other. This is my interpretation of the evolutionary development of the song of a large extinct bird species through thousands of years.

This repeating and subtly evolving sequence was recorded into Ableton Live using Make Noise 0-CTRL controller/sequencer and 0-Coast synthesizer. I slowly manually manipulated the parameters and filters on the two instruments. Used Strymon Big Sky, Aqusmatiq Dedalus Delay and Cableguys ShaperBox 3 for effects.
