Somehow i‘m late on this, emailed a couple of times and did not get a response…do any of you have more infos wether this phantastic piece of gear ( just the pcb and board off course) will be available again?

Modular Addict has a sign up to be notified option. Someone on MW offers this built.

Yes and yes, i wanted to build this myself-we‘ll see in a very foreseeable future😃

I sent them an email forever ago and never heard anything back. I hope they get back to it eventually.

been looking at the 4U model for a bit, hoping the kit comes back in stock at some point.

You sir, are my hero!!!
Thanks to your post about the extra single pin on the teensy board my TSNM is now working like it should!

I keep hoping to unlock this feature, but I don’t think it exists: imagine how great it would be if there was an option to switch note readout from standard musical notation to numerical voltages!

I really wish this was open source. Especially since they’re extremely hard to contact. I saw they posted some new basic utility modules to Modular Grid, so maybe they’re getting back to it? There are definitely some things I would love to see tweaked. That said, I still love mine. It’s hard to imagine parting with it.

Heck, I even considered building another one recently. Having two of these would be a super fun performance setup. Dual H! arpeggios and sequences would be lovely.

Just finished my build! I sourced the MPR121 (black PCB) from Modular Addict and it worked out the gate. I know some folks had problems with that part. One of my LED rows I noticed is a bit dim, but ahh well it works perfectly otherwise.

When I first booted it, I thought I hadn’t soldered the DAC correctly. It didn’t sound quite right. I think it was that I hadn’t gripped the work-flow of the module yet. Quick start tip, find the quantization menu, drop in notes from a scale, then enable sequencer or arp mode (make sure you’ve got a clock input) To get the sequencer moving you need to use S• (seq rec) play in the notes individually then click the encoder to start.

Don’t skip calibration! Octave shifting for me was fine out of the box, but pressure response needed to be tuned. I found the default setting a bit to sharp, so I widened the response for more dramatic effect.

It’s got quirks. Totally agree on the calibration. Again, wish it was open source; even with those quirks, it’s an awesome module.

You’ll probably find that you can get stuck notes. You’ll get better about avoiding it, but it tends to happen if you bridge adjacent notes for too long. It’s quite inconsistent.

June '19: I could start a new thread, but I recently got an XIIO. It’s also really great. A slightly different beastie than the TSNM, but very easy to recommend!

The new beta firmware, v3.1, looks dope. Installing soon. So many new features!

Removed features:
– “microtonal” (quarter note) adjustment of note output
– length of sequencer steps
– random arp playmode

New features:
– new internal structure (keyboard -> arp -> sequencer -> quantiser -> portamento -> vibrato -> output)
– internal clock
– individual clock multiplication/division for arp and sequencer
– rhythm sequencer for arpeggiator
– gate types per step (ratcheting) for note sequencer
– new and improved recording mode for note sequencer
– pressure output can act like a proper AD, ASR or looping AD envelope generator
– internal modulation options for various parameters of envelope generator
– a second voltage sequencer available at pressure output
– 8 user editable scales for quantiser
– portamento (gliding) shapes
– vibrato (with pressure controlled depth)
– 2 note polyphony (please keep in mind that the pressure CV output has only 12-bit resolution, don’t expect the same precision as for the note CV output)

Not yet implemented:
– pressure CV slew limiter
– hardware modification (this will extend the range of Note CV output)

There’s no public link, but you can email him or message him if you want to test it.

This is awesome!! I can’t wait to try this out. Internal clock is such a little change, but it’ll make all the difference for me. Adding envelopes is awesome too! I can remove a couple of utilities from my skiff I previously had to make it usable

Holy moly this is a game changer!

Bummer I can’t pick up an 0-Ctrl, maybe I can get a little skiff for my TSNM instead!

I’ve seen these in Buchla format. Anyone know if they’ve been ported to SERGE?

How do you mean? My buddy built one for his Serge system.

oh really? I guess since I’m not a DIY’er that never occured to me  would love to see it

This new internal workflow is very interesting!

New features:
– new internal structure (keyboard -> arp -> sequencer -> quantiser -> portamento -> vibrato -> output)
– internal clock”

The arp and sequencer can run concurrently at different clock divisions/multiplications!

Dope. I probably won’t get to it till the weekend, so I am curious to hear everyone’s impressions! I read the guide, and the new interactions are quite different, but they seem like they should lead to a more consistent exprience.

coooool. Thnx for the pic
