a series I co-direct is doing a 6 hour stream starting at 6pm PST and going until midnight.

I’ve just decided to do it just now, but I’ll definitely be streaming an extended… something, which I’m hoping to make into some sort of remote collaborative drone collage situation. Anyone interested in participating, hit me up…
I won’t be streaming, my droning will take place when it starts and end when it’s over.
No goal but to make a sound… and follow it, until it returns to its source.

Here’s my contribution to drone day 2020. iOS app Shoom with a sensel morph utilizing MPE to control all aspects of the sound modulation. All used 7-TET tuning so that I could just play expressively without worrying too much about “notes” and more about the sound and piecing it all together after the fact. Recorded 20 drones and then layered them in ableton (no fx added), mastered in Ozone. Happy droning!

Did a short drone thing (by drone standards, I suppose). Perhaps not suitable for absolute purists.
