Early revision norns shield PCBs - do I really need to add missing pull-up resistors?

I have an early rev shield pcb that was missing a set of pull-up resistors. I’ve been using it for some months without the pull-ups.

Is there an appreciable difference in pot handling when the pull-ups are in place? If there isn’t, I’m not sure I’ll bother adding them in.

I added the extra solder to my board to join up the resistors, and noticed no difference
