Yes, as long as the rapid toggles don’t get so fast that the grid is not recognized at all in between (as in fast switching back and forth) idle state seems to be stable.

Accidentally switching away before the grid is fully connected can leave the grid unseen on that module until the next power cycle.

Switching when a pattern is running causes easy crashes. fast patterns seem to crash more often then slower patterns.

ok, after a massive deep-dive on the monome/ftdi driver, i am confident that i’ve fixed it. i will not bore you with the wild details.

also @Leverkusen the arp clamping is/was already fixed, so i’m not sure what you problem you’re experiencing, if you could elaborate.

thanks for the deep-dive! your efforts are much appreciated. earthsea is one of my favorite modules.

@tehn

Thanks for the update! I’ll give it a try.

I am experiencing exactly that arp clamping that was already fixed - it occured with the update from january again. I am not sure how to elaborate further.

EDIT: apparently with this version the clamping bug is fixed again. It was not in the previous two versions.:slight_smile:

There is still a short pause in performance when hotplugging the grid while ES is clocked from teletype.

@tehn

BTW Is is possible to apply the same fix on ansible? It crashes on hotplugging too.

@tehn this latest update seems to be working well. woohoo!

thanks again :slight_smile:
