is there anywhere in the US that sells custom rail sizes for DIY cases ? looks like synthracks offers it, but they’re in europe

Pulp Logic has all your DIY needs on their etsy store! Lots of sizes of rails. Note they are Vector Rails without the lip, as is PL standard, in case you were considering Intellijel 1U modules

this has always been my problem with the intellijel palette clear lid – i’ve tried a few different eurorack cables, but none of them fit under the closed lid while still patched (other than the right-angle ones like Tendrils, which I have to imagine could fit under just about any lid imaginable). I end up having to unpatch everything to travel anyway

I got this one for my 84hp 3u rack and it’s perfect and cheap. Really nice angle and frees up space on my desk

mm - outta stock in the 6u brackets I need though are out of stock from them. are the brackets a standard thing, or do I need to get pulp logic brackets for their rails ?

edit: maybe these ??? https://www.etsy.com/listing/634058179/pair-6u-side-plates-for-diy-eurorack?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=eurorack+brackets&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&organic_search_click=1

I’m irresponsibly looking at a Pittsburgh Structure EP-420. Can anyone recommend similar cases (size and angle) that I should also irresponsibly look at?

I see. I only use Nazca noodles that are very bendy and compact so I’ve never had this issue. Always fits under the lid patched.

Can you recommend it to use with MN CV bus case? Seems like it fits perfectly too, as your case has similar dimensions and weigh.

Depending how you want your case to look, you don’t need the brackets. I just drilled holes through my side panels and screwed in the rails from the outside. But the plate you linked should work.
You can also buy the same vector rails directly from Mouser and other places, but they only come in 84 and one other larger size im forgetting. Pulp Logic just cuts them to size as far as I can tell. So no worries on who you buy them from

Dear Lines Hivemind, I need your help searching for a new case. Currently I am using a frap tools case but it is to shallow (43mm).
I am searching for the following:

  • 6U
  • between 50 and 64 hp
  • deeper than 50mm but not to deep
  • compact (no giant wood frame)
  • bonus light weight

So far I found Modulaire Maritime Accra. If any of you have an alternative in mind I would be really thankful.

Edit: I am EU based

I think this ticks all your boxes:

That’s a neat case and they even have a Black Friday sale. But I forgot to add that I am EU based and that shipping is expensive plus taxes. Did not find any resellers here but I will check the used market.

I can recommend Clank: https://www.clank.eu/cases

It might take a while for them to make your case, but you can ask them for pretty much anything you want regarding size/depth and extras. Just got my new case from them and I’m very happy with it!

also take a look at Grau Modular cases

There are the new 64hp Tall Dog skiffs that can be put one on top of the other if you get one powered, one unpowered and the connectors. They look solid. I can’t see the cases on their website and they are out of stock on ctrl-mod, but you can check them out and ask Tall Dog directly if they have any reseller in EU.

Damaru cases do a 6U 64HP case which you can have in various depths. They can also do custom sizes as well

I have a Make Noise 7u case and recently there has been a problem with the stereo output of the case. The left side works fine but the right side distorts and is louder also. Before it worked just fine. Any idea what could be the problem? My modules should not exceed the power limits of the case or anything like that.

I don’t need this, but am hyped that it almost exists.

Edit. It exists.
