Yeah I’m trying to avoid inverting my audio signal like Blinds does. I find it too tedious to get it to exactly 0. I will look into the others that you’ve mentioned, thank you!

Also not quite sure what you mean as I think most modules containing multiple VCAs do this, but check out the ALM Busy Circuits Tangle Quartet too.

Well, I’m basically looking for a mixer module to replace my Tiptop MIX7 but one that will allow me to mute specific audio inputs completely.

Intellijel Mixup has a mute switch per channel. It is 3 stereo channels and each channel knob completely attenuates the signal ccw.

Edit: actually, a little bit more complex than I thought.

“Inputs 1 and 2 are single-channel mono inputs, each with its own mute switch and level control; Input 3 is a dual-channel stereo input with a shared mute and level control; and input 4 is an auxiliary unity-gain, non-mutable stereo input.”

Yeah, my only issue with that module would be that the 4th channel isn’t mutable :confused: It appears that @Noisetress 's suggestion of ALM’s Tangle Quartet might be the closest to what I’m looking for… however it’s not a stereo mixer

One that has been mentioned a lot recently is hyrlo from knob.farm. “different uses: 3 stereo, 2 stereo + 1 mono, 1 stereo + 2 mono, 1-6 mono”. It doesn’t have mute switches but all three stereo channels can be muted fully ccw. Or you could have up to six mono channels in pairs. I guess it uses rear switches to get different configurations.

Edit: big PLUS: it is only 4hp and can be daisy chained with more hyrlos. And functionally it pairs very well with the other knob.farm modules.

LPZW Plagwitz mk2 would fit the bill. It’s a 4x2 matrix mixer with mutes per input. Very slim and cheap too, but only available from Germany AFAIK.

Hyrlo definitely appears to be what I’m looking for out of a mixer, however it’d be better if it had CV inputs for the knobs, but honestly that would just be a bonus :stuck_out_tongue: I do like how it can work with different combinations of stereo and mono signals. Thank you @level1

Those knobs that I see on the Plagwitz mk2, are those attenuators or attenuverters? I’m trying to avoid mixers with attenuverters and it doesn’t say on modular grid

Hyrlo is great too! I was also pleasantly surprised I can link the output expander pins on the back to an Intellijel stereo output 1U.

NLC Clump - matrix mixer, with cv inputs + attenuators, mute switches (and inversion switches — mix your cv while mixing your audio or mix em together :wink: ) You get one or two main outputs, plus a couple to feedback into your system. The main problem with matrix mixers is they’re such fun instruments on their own you end up wanting additional mixers :stuck_out_tongue:

What I’d love to see is a stereo matrix mixer - pairing up two matrix mixers doesn’t quite work the same way :frowning:

@Versipellis @Whatwetalkabout OK so my brain, fried by isolation as it is, was supposed to write Headphones 1U and not stereo output 1U. Sorry about that. I’m using the Headphones 1U with the Hyrlo.

This is mind boggling! If I got this I’d have 3 matrix modules :open_mouth: I assume this is all mono but holy crap you can mix a lot of signals in this thing! I’m going to have to look up a video about this one to see how it all works :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Looked it up and can’t find any videos however the page you linked explained it perfectly :+1:

I keep considering this, but also don’t have a lot of rack space. It sounds really fun, but like you said, I feel like I’d just want more?
