I would second the Teletype with Ansible for handling modulation. For a multi-FX unit with several parallel channels and CV controls over effects on each channel, I’m not sure if anything like that exists either. The closest thing I could think of would be the Disting EX and additional Disting EX/Disting 4s if you want more channels.

Anything more than what you’re asking within a single module then you’re running into “just hook up a computer” territory. ER-301 is great as a mixer, but is lacking in effects. It sounds like you want something smaller otherwise Percussa SSP would probably do a lot of what you’re asking. If you don’t mind hooking up a computer then the Expert Sleepers ES-9 and a computer is all you need for modulation and multi-effects.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows a module that is similar to Acidrain Switchblade, except it does the opposite function. Switchblade has three 2in-1out switches, looking for a switch that takes one signal and switches it between two outputs. Other simple patch ideas welcome (:

How about the WMD SL3KT? https://www.modulargrid.net/e/wmd-sl3kt

It’s bi-directional. It doesn’t have the momentary option, but it has nice toggle switches.

Edit: the CV input is gate-based, not triggered, so that’s “momentary”. The switches are switches, but they invert the CV gate logic, too, which is an interesting design feature.

That looks like just the thing! Thanks.

i’m looking for a module that would convert line level to modular and back with 1/4” jacks for line level inputs/outputs, in 4hp or less. i’m currently using strymon aa1 but are there any alternatives that would also achieve this?

I may be wrong, but I don’t think you’re going to find anything in-rack that’s smaller with 1/4" jacks. If you’re just trying to make all your 1/4" jacks mono, you’re probably looking for something like ADDAC Systems ADDAC200PI (pedal integrator). Or, if rack space is that tight, maybe go outboard and try either boredbrain’s INTRFX or Transmutron?

For my rig, I’m thinking of replacing my Bastl Hendrikson with a Knob Farm Ferry. The jacks are all 1/8", but the features seem worth it.

just picked up an expert sleepers es-8 to integrate with ableton and was wondering if it’s possible to clock ableton with a channel from tempi? I don’t have 10.1 so the cv tools aren’t an option but the clock and trigger devices in another format look like what I need. hoping to do cue out from octatrack as the leader into tempi > ableton. thanks!

edit - looks like this might work, will post updates in a few days

edit again - works great! cv toolkit by spektro audio is another bonus that’s ableton link compatible

Are either of these what you’re describing?

This ADDAC has sends and returns to / from Line Level. There’s also the Ladik below.

In one of these threads some legendary being had a photo of a mechanical keyboard hooked up to a skiff that was like, just a teletype and a JF and maybe something else? I want to gaze at that beauty again. I sorta want to build mini hacking skiff like that.

I can recommend the ADDAC200PI (though I just sold mine since I’ve decided to get out of pedals).

I found if I put it in the top corner of the case mounted upside down, and used low-profile 90-degree 1/4" patch cables, it was pretty unobtrusive

Sewastopol should do the job too. I’m a fan.

I made a 4ms Pod 32 into just such a skiff. Only caveat is that the I2C connections need a bit more depth so I had to heat and form the heatshrink on those wires into nice right angles to fit.

I decided to have a custom MIDI to CV module designed, catered to how Odessa works lol. This way I can use Crow for more fun stuff. Have to use Crow for 3 voice sequencing until the module is ready tho, which will be a great way to hands-on test some ideas I’m having for this module, to make sure the way I’m picturing it in my head is the way it should be.

I’ve got an Odessa on the way, forgot to order the Hel along with it though… Really excited even if I can’t use polyphony right away.

Haha ouch =L I actually ended up getting $80 off my purchase because Perfect Circuit was having a sale, so it basically mafe Hel free. So, my friend is interested in possibly mass manufacturing this module if he thinks enough odessa owners are interested, but the plan is to also have a mode switch to be a regular polyphonic midi to cv module for non-odessa oscillator situations as well. Probably won’t have even a prototype for several months though.

Anyway congrats! She’s quite fun.

thanks, ADDAC looks like exactly what i’m looking for! ladik would work too if it had 2 outputs.

sewastopol looks like a super useful module but i don’t really need env followers, so it’s too big for my purpose. it’s funny how these modules are advertised for integrating pedals with modular when my goal is the exact opposite - making a couple of modular pedals.

Are the Wavefolder algos in Disting MK4 capable of taking dc signals like lfos?

FYI: i figured out they are!

I’ve been adding a few modules to a Neutron - I’m interested in dark ambient type sounds. What would you add in the 13hp gap in the middle (or what would you swap out)

The Hendrickson is linking in some guitar pedals that can’t be represented here (reverb, filter(wah), and delay/looper)
